Out and about....Prada and Mary Quant

Mary Quant/Prada flower can anyone see any real difference between the two? I love it but to me it is the Mary Quant flower. I wonder how she feels about it. It is worn here by Francesca Burns from Vogue. I have to say my editors are shy and I rarely get to photograph them. On the other hand it is part of the brief of some of my other streetstyle compatriots to ensure they photograph their own editors as they come and go to the shows. I am very lucky to have the freedom to shoot whoever I want (if they let me :). I am shooting again at the Vogue Festival on the 27th and 28th of April. Hope to see you there.

Oxana is the senior fashion editor for Russian Glamour.She is very sweet and special in her own right as she designs her own clothes. This beautiful gossamer dress is one of her own. Her shoes and headband are Prada.

Annelies was on her way to work when we met. How do you go to work? In flats or heels all the way? After I took the first picture we walked along to keep her moving towards work while I interviewed her. Just as we were about to part she asked if I would like her to put her heels on. Now how could I refuse the opportunity to shoot the look in its entirety? Annelies is from New Zealand from Dutch heritage and is a Lawyer. She creates her style by pulling little bit of what she like to create her look, which is different each day. Her favourite places in London are Angel and Regents Canal. Our surprise from her is that she has ran the marathon twice and "heaps" of 1/2 marathons. Annelies look is comprised of Prada glasses, shrug and bag from a boutique in New Zealand, dress and heels from Topshop and the flats are Havaianas.

Benjamin works in international sales for a German company. He had 2 surprises for us, one was that he made a book when he was 7 called Big Max and the second is that his uncle is Neville Staple from The Specials. Here he is wearing a coat he had made bespoke when he was in China, a shirt bought on the Brighton Lanes, Topman pocket square and trousers, Uniqlo cardy, shoes bought in Spitalfields, Prada glasses and is carrying a Hugo Boss bag. It was his idea to do the back shot. I think it makes a great edition to the series.

Sam is an image consultant and Tiara is a model. Sam has just moved to London from California and says his style influence is European style. His favourite place so far is Oxford Circus. Tiara describes her usual style as mixture of hard and soft, today she is in her agency all black directive. Her favourite place in the city is the Westminster area. Sam's surprise was that he is actually Nigerian and Tiara's is that she is very artistic and loves to paint and draw. Sam is wearing a hat from Urban Outfitters, G.Star jacket, Rich Trends t-shirt, Zara trousers and Prada shoes. Tiara's go to outfit comprised of a hat she bought in Paris, H&M top, and bag and Topshop skirt.

Loreley is in the UK from America for her friend s wedding which is tomorrow.And the weather is amazing, it is going to be a wonderful day for them all I am sure. Loreley is a student at Med school. Her style influence is fashion and street style blogs. Surprisingly she was born in Argentina and speaks fluent Spanish even though she moved from there when she was very young. Loreley is wearing Prada glasses, a Nasty Gal dress, Jeffery Campbell boots and is carrying a Tory Burch bag.

I think Francesca was bemused to be photographed. Her pink hat and those great boots just caught me and pulled me in. Francesca is a fashion designer for Twenty8Twelve. Her design influences are people, art, everything really. The Tate Modern is her favourite place in London for chilly days. Where she doesn't have to think about anything else. It is inspirational. Her surprise was that she goes to footblaa with her Dad. Not that she follows football really "it is just nice to be with my Dad". Everything Francesca is wearing is Acne, except her shirt which is American Apparel and her bag which is vintage Prada.

Moe Murakami  - When Moe told me her name I nearly fell over as Haruki Murakami is one of my all time favourite writers - when I asked if she was related she she made like she didn't understand me (so maybe). Irina is from Moscow where she works as an accountant. She had only been in Amsterdam for 3 hours when we met.  Her surprise was that she is dreaming of parachuting. It is something she would love to do. She told me that Nicole Kiddman is her style influence. They say red and green should never be seen unless on an Irish colleen. I would beg to differ I think it looks amazing on this Russian colleen too. Her outfit is truly international. She bought her coat in Moscow, the label said Mayachix. scarf is from Nice, boots Germany and her bag is Prada.

Here is the wonderful vivacious Natalie Joos. She always dresses very colourfully and as a result is another favourite with the photographers. She is very gracious when the pack gets going and will stand and smile until they have had their fill. So I would wait too and eventually we always managed to get some time away from the throng to shoot properly. Natalie is a Fashion Consultant and Casting Agent but also has her own blog Tales of Enderment where she talks about her life and her love of vintage. It is a great read go check it out.

I was having a coffee and a cake with a friend when I spotted Lian. Red lips and hair, blue dress. Beautiful combination. It turned out that Lian is part of Trace PR. Unknowingly our paths may have crossed before here. It was impossible for Lian to tell us her style influences as she represents so many cool brands. So in fairness we left the question there. Surprisingly she told me she collects dogs. At the moment she has a Lurcher and did have a Chihuahua. I asked her what her next dog would be and she told me her dogs are rescue dogs so she didn't mind. However an Irish Wolf Hound did spring to mind. Her favourite place in London is Liberties. Here Lian is wearing Prada glasses, ring by this years new jewelry designer of the year Katie Rowland and is carrying a Miu Miu bag. Her dress is vintage from NYC and her shoes are from Topshop.

Anabel told me her friends make fun of her and see it as a bit of cliche to be a dancer and a model. Do you think there may be just a tiny wee bit of jealousy going on here? Her dancing pedigree is amazing. She started her career in ballet but is now a contemporary dancer. At the moment she is part of the cast of Dirty Dancing. She is also part of Matthew Bourne's company. When I asked her about London she said "there is so much to do here, you can never be bored." Her days are filled with castings, modeling assignments, art galleries and when we met she was going off to see a show. Her style influence is her Mum whom she says is her style icon. She said her Mum likes layering and floaty floor length clothing think Biba and Ossie Clark. For her own look today she is wearing a hat from Christys, which was a present from her boyfriend and her scarf belongs to him. (He is also a blogger, you can check out his blog, Maketh the Man here.) Anabel's coat was from Moss Bros and used to belong to her Mum when she was a child. The shirt was given to her by a friend. At this part the conversation she said, looks like I have been dressed by everyone else. However, she bought her skirt when she was in Australia as part of a 3 month world tour she was on with Matthew Bourne. Her socks were from a market, she thought Spitalfields, shoes are Office and her bag is Prada.

James is a Londoner and works for Church's. He said the best thing about London was today's weather (as you can see it was sunny when we shot). He describes his style as an old fashioned classic look. Influenced by the America of the 20's and 30's. James like's to travel and is off to Tuscany this summer. Here, he is wearing a Prada suit. His hat is from River Island and all his other accessories are from Church's, tie, belt and shoes.

Christina wants to be a Fashion designer. She is from Shanghai and at the moment is studying for A'level's in York. Her aim is St Martins next year. It is good to aim high. Christina had never studied art before coming to the UK and she thought she couldn't draw but her surprise to herself is that actually she can. Her style influence is her own style, its more about showing her personality. Using it to say something about herself. Her cute coat is from Prada. The boots are from LK Bennett, bag is Versace and she had just been shopping in Chanel.

Born in London and raised in Kent, Olivia is the Head of Integrated Production at BBH.
After a vocational producer degree with a focus on TV, Olivia has worked as a TV producer, for Broadcasters and for Ad agencies. She just got married in September last year in France near her Mum's house. She said it was lots of fun. Her surprising thing was that she has done the worlds largest bungee jump - however I dont think that was on her honeymoon. Style wise she says she knows what will work when she see's it. Though she is not worried if it is fashionable or not. I want everything Mira is wearing. I love this look. Mira runs her own jewelery business on Old Bond Street which is a franchise of Damiani. Mira is originally from Kazakhstan and has been in London for the past 2 years. She is the mother to 4 children. When I stopped her she told me 'it is usually my son who gets stopped for this kind of thing.'  Well all I can say is that he is lucky to have such a good looking mother. Mira is very sporty and has been a rescue diver for the past 15years and is in training for the Davos 42km marathon next year. Now we can see why she is in such good shape.  In the shot she is wearing a jacket by Dolce & Gabbana, McQueen scarf, Prada trousers, Sergio Rossi shoes and is carrying a YSL bag.

Elizabeth has been working for Daks for 3 weeks so far and is loving it. Originally from Leeds she is loving London. Her style influences are the lovely Alexa Chung and "bits from everywhere", online, magazines. Mostly she tries not to think too much about it. She told me she was obsessed with Big Brother and sad to see it go. I love what she is wearing. I want the shirt which is from Uniqlo. Her trousers and shoes are from Zara and her bag is as you can see is Prada.
