Out and about....Oxford Circus

From Fashionistable
Karolina is originally from Poland and has been living in the UK for 5 years now and is a store manager for The Sequal. She says her style influence is the streets "What I see on the street reflects what I wear. Oxford and Regent Street are the biggest catwalks in the world. It is sometimes even better than looking at magazines." Her favourite places in London are Greenwich Park in the summer and the pubs in the winter (that last bit was said tounge in cheek). And her surprise is that she says she can't cook. Karolina's scarf is from TKMaxx, cardy is from Benetton, shirt is Topshop, leggings are American Apparel, boots are All Saints and bag is Sisley.

Out and about....happy smile

From Fashionistable
I think Francesca was bemused to be photographed. Her pink hat and those great boots just caught me and pulled me in. Francesca is a fashion designer for Twenty8Twelve. Her design influences are people, art, everything really. The Tate Modern is her favourite place in London for chilly days. Where she doesn't have to think about anything else. It is inspirational. Her surprise was that she goes to footblaa with her Dad. Not that she follows football really "it is just nice to be with my Dad". Everything Francesca is wearing is Acne, except her shirt which is American Apparel and her bag which is vintage Prada.

Out and about....Oxford Circus

From Fashionistable
ChengLu likes to call herself Clytie. She is from Shanghai and is starting a Media Studies degree in Westminster this month. Her surprise was that she likes Pink Cake hair. I dont know what this is and can't find reference to it online. Anyone out there know? She says her style influence is vintage, no era in particular. Just whatever suits. Her favourite place in London is the Finchley Road. For our picture today she is wearing a scarf by Absolute Vintage, she has 2 shirts on, the top one it from Urban Outfitters and the lace sleeves belong to the one below and is American Apparel, so is her skirt. Her shoes are vintage from Brick Lane the socks were bought online and her bag is from a sample sale from Might-T.

Out and about....cool blue

When I was shooting my final image for the Filofax challenge I could see Helen and her friend Toni standing at the side of the road watching us. And I had been praying that they stick around until I had finished shooting. But life is not like that is it. By the time I had finished they had gone. However life has sometimes ways to bring people back to you, as a short while later when I decided to wrap up for the day and head home as I was heading down the escalators on the tube there was Helen futher down the escalator in front of me. Luckily both Helen and Toni are also bloggers (Helens is called Plastic lipstick at noon and Toni is called Fashitects I really should have photographed Toni too. Hopefully we will meet again at LFW) so didn't think I was totally mad and were OK to head back out of the tube to take pictures. Helen is starting a foundation art course at Ravensbourne later this month and is also working part-time in Office. This is where she got her amazing Jeffery Campbell shoes. She told me to tell you all to get down there fast before they are gone. Her style influences are Mary Kate Olsen and the street. Her favourite place is Starbucks and her favourite coffee is a macchiato. Her surprise is that she used to be a volunteer for the British Red Cross. Helen's cardy is from American Apparel. Top is H&M, leggings Miss Selfridge, bag and ring Urban Outfitters, shoes as you know Jeffery Campbell.

Now I have to say when I received all the colours for this Filofax challenge of all of them I thought that the Brown Chameleon would be the most difficult to find someone for. But was amazed when Yonan crossed my path she was perfect for this. The colours she was wearing perfectly compliment this Filofax. Yonan is from a region in China called Tsingtao which she told me is also the name of her nations favourite beer. Her style influence is taken from paintings. With Van Gough being her favourite painter. Her surprise was that she lives almost like a monk, she is a vegetarian and doesnt drink or smoke. However unlike a monk she does have sex. Yonan is wearing vintage Dior glasses, her shirt and bowtie are also vintage, shorts and belt are American Apparel, tights are from Topshop and her shoes are Adidas.

Out and about....the Welsh are coming - part 1

From Fashionistable
Afan is from Cardiff and is in London job hunting. Can you believe it after a drought of Welsh people I have met some more? Having graduated last year in History and Literature, Afan plans to work in a restaurant and live off his tips while saving his wage. He says his style is, hair - 40's quiff mixed with, clothing 80's skater influence. His surprising thing is that he used to be a Pro BMXer for Wales. His look today is put together with a Vivienne Westwood necklace, American Apparel shirt and socks. Afans cutoffs  have been mineral washed, his shoes are Vans and his bag is vintage.

Out and about....Amsterdam

From Fashionistable
We had one amazing day when we were away. So we headed to the park. They have great relaxed outside eating and drinking so we joined in. Laura passed us at one point so I was up and after her. She is originally from London and has been living in Holland for 2 and a half years now. She moved there to work for O'Neill and it is her job to drive traffic to their website, have a look. Bet she didn't think she would be working on her time off. When she chooses what to wear she likes to feel good so usually it is casual she reaches for. Right now as the weather is great she likes to wear as little as possible, global warming chic she calls it. Laura's dress is from American Apparel, her shoes are Birkenstock, bag is All Saints (she wishes there was an All Saints in Holland) and jewelery is Accessorize. There is a little heart in the middle of her Moschino glasses. She said she was hoping to get a tanned shaped heart from it.

Here are some more shots I took of the park.

Out and about....when the kids are united

Riki and Jessy
From Fashionistable

Alex and Milo
From Fashionistable
From Fashionistable
Don't Riki, Jessy, Alex and Milo look great. They were very cool too. They all go to different schools but met each other through friends. Mostly their style is inspired by music. For Riki it is Yannis Philippakis from Foals. Oh and the Bombay Bicycle Club. Milo likes old Brit pop and especially the The Libertines for Alex it is Florence and the machine or Bloc Party. For Jessy though it was her mum who was a fashion designer before she came along.
Riki is wearing a T from Uniqlo, jeans from Red Herring and Nike shoes. Jessy has on short dungarees from River Island, top from Adidas, amazing tights from a trip to France. Her boots are Urban Outfitters and her bag is Paul Smith. Alex wears 2 jackets - the outer one is from Rokit, the inner hoodie is from American Apparel. Her stripy T and leggings are from H&M and her boots like Jessy are also Urban Outfitters. Milo has on a hoodie also from American Apparel, the all important black and gold Fred Perry polo, jeans from H&M and shoes from Vans. He then went on to tell me that his boxers were Calvin Klein which made everyone smile.
