Out and about....the golden diamond

I have to start my post by saying that the 1st image today is one of the reasons I truly love streetstyle photography all summed up in one word, spontaneity. If I had been setting this up we would have had to get a whole team together and cast the bike and rider for the background. Well maybe the guy on the bike would have looked different, but apart from that I couldn't have asked for more. It is such a kick when you see it all fall into place in the lens. And to have Doina as the main focus of the shot, perfect. Doina is the force behind The Golden Diamonds, her about me says that her biggest dreams are to develop the Fashion Industry in Moldova and also to become a politician. So quite a broad brush of interests. She has certainly been making in roads on the fashion front as I was just reading in her tweets that the shoot for her own collection was taking place on yesterday - Monday. And you will eventually be able to see it and buy it from here. So to give you a flavour of what to expect, the skirt and shirt in the 1st shot are her own design, which she has paired with an Armani coat, Chloe shoes and YSL bag. In the second the jacket is her own design, worn with Massimo Dutti jeans, Zara sweater, Chloe shoes and is carrying her iPad in a Stella McCartney iPad cover. Her last look is made up of a polo neck and skirt from ASOS, vintage lace over the polo, YSL shoes and she is carrying a Moschino bag.

Out and about....Miroslava Duma

The incredibly pretty Miroslava Duma is the Contributing Editor, Editor and Founder of Buro 24/7.
And just 5 months after the birth of her first son she still has an almost innocent quality about her. In the first image she is wearing Chloe, Fendi shoes and a Venessa Arizagu necklace. In the second image she is wearing Vika Gazinskaya. When I was putting this post together (last night) I realised ahh she has orange accessories - should have posted this after the boys. Ah well now we have some orange for the girls.

Kiara was going between offices to meet friends for lunch when we met. Originally from Co. Wicklow
she has been product training Ralph Lauren staff for the past 2 years and loves her job. Her 2 style influences are Edie Sedgwick and Alabama from True Romance. However surprisingly she loves to watch Poirot and Miss Marple. She also has a stall in the Trueman Brewery where she sells vintage clothing on a Saturday and Sunday. Kiara's favourite place in London is the Albion Cafe. Her beret is vintage from her stall, coat is H&M, scarf and shoes Topshop and the purse is Chloe.

I am guest blogging over at Tell Us Fashion this week follow the link to see what I have been up to.

Out and about....Paris Fashion Week Emmanuelle Alt

From Fashionistable
I am back, exhausted, but very happy. Am I glad to be back, hell yes was I sad to leave hell yes. Paris was beautiful, it was cold but the sun shone every day which was a blessing. When the big shows are on the entourage that descends is enormous. The trick is not to take it too seriously and just calmly get on with your own thing or join the scrum if the occasion requires and you want to (which is very rare for me). Yesterday I decided to take it a little easier and chose not to run to every show possible before I left, sometimes less is more and it sure was the case for me. Before Chloe was the Valentin Yudashkin show which was a short walk up the Champs Elysees from the main hub in the Tuileries. The setting was good and there was a nice crowd there. When most of the guests had gone in I turned away to wonder back to the Tuileries and there, strolling up the street towards me on her own was Emmanuelle - it was only her and I, no one else was around. She was on the phone but she stopped for me. So here is my gift from Paris to share with you. Much more to follow.

Out and about....Christmas delight

From Fashionistable
For todays post we have the second Rosie I photographed for BBH. Rosie is a Creative Director and has been with the agency since its start up 26 years ago. She was amazed when she thought about it, she has grown up with them. Rosie has been in London since she was 18 when she went to St Martins. When she at art school she said she used to dress in 50's vintage with a touch of New Romantic as it suited her shape. It also allowed her to be creative with what she wore and allowed her individuality. Rosie still has a strong sense of what she likes and what she knows suits her. For example she knows wide leg trousers and loose waistlines are out as she says they make her look fat. Her style choices are not faddy but are fashion conscious. Rosie has a few surprising things. To start with she has 2 teenage sons. To keep fit she likes to fence (I would love to learn to do this too). She is gregarious and fun loving but hates being the center of attention and is genuinely happy walking the dog on the beach.
Here she is wearing a jacket from Chloe, shirt from Zara, trousers from Hennes and very cool boots from Gucci. This is my last post until after the festive period. I wish you all a great time and wonderful 2011. Lots to love to you all an a big thank you for following me in 2010. Xxxxx
