Benjamin works in international sales for a German company. He had 2 surprises for us, one was that he made a book when he was 7 called Big Max and the second is that his uncle is Neville Staple from The Specials. Here he is wearing a coat he had made bespoke when he was in China, a shirt bought on the Brighton Lanes, Topman pocket square and trousers, Uniqlo cardy, shoes bought in Spitalfields, Prada glasses and is carrying a Hugo Boss bag. It was his idea to do the back shot. I think it makes a great edition to the series.

She has a site called Tokyo Fashion Doll. Moe is wearing a jacket by Nave, a New York vintage skirt, Jeffery Campbell shoes and Chloe glasses.

Out and about....always in heels

From Fashionistable
Arabella told me she was always in heels. Rob backed her up and said he had never seen her in anything other than heels. They look great together even though their style influences are quite different. Rob describes himself as a "big, big 90's hip hop fan even for a skinny white boy". It is all about sneaker culture for him. For Arabella it is the 1960s print and pop. She likes to follow street style blogs and also the enigmatic Anna Dello Russo who is a favourite. When dressing, where she can she likes to mix high and low end together. Rob is at Uni studying History of Art. His favourite period being the 17th Century. Arabella works in event production. I should have asked them how they met. Surprisingly Rob is fluent in Hungarian as he lived there for 5 years "not the most useful language to be fluent in the world." (Some great photographers came out of Hungary though, Robert Cappa for example.) Arabella's Mum writes knitting books so as a result she knows how to knit very well. Here Arabella is wearing a hat knit by herself, an Oasis coat, her sweater and boots from Zara, Unique skirt from Topshop and a Hennes bag. Rob is sporting a New Era cap, his sneakers are Air Jordon 1s "it is always Nike for sneakers. I am a one brand man". His shirt is Uniqlo, sweater from an American vintage website, Levi jeans and Adidas jacket.

Out and about....true blue

From Fashionistable
Born in London and raised in Kent, Olivia is the Head of Integrated Production at BBH.
After a vocational producer degree with a focus on TV, Olivia has worked as a TV producer, for Broadcasters and for Ad agencies. She just got married in September last year in France near her Mum's house. She said it was lots of fun. Her surprising thing was that she has done the worlds largest bungee jump - however I dont think that was on her honeymoon. Style wise she says she knows what will work when she see's it. Though she is not worried if it is fashionable or not. Here she is wearing a hat from Uniqlo, scarf by Marc Jacobs, coat from Session (cant find a link), shirt Topshop, trousers from Whistles, boots ASOS and her bag is Prada.

Out and about....the traveller

From Fashionistable
Jiao works as cabin crew for an airline which operates out of Abu Dhabi. He has been doing it for 2 years now and really enjoys it. Before this he was working as an account handler in an advertising agency. A big change but one he is glad he made. He likes his style to be casual and comfortable. When I met him he had just arrived in the UK. He is from Beijing originally. Apart from the cabin crew work he loves to travel. Japan and London being his 2 favourite places. He told me he likes people watching, especially in London, for although it is a  European city it is different, surprising, edger. His glasses are Ray Ban, his pea coat is by Izzue. All the rest is Uniqlo. His Converse are a design collaboration with Commes Des Garcons. Finally his bag is vintage from his home town.

Out and about...Birthday Boy

From Fashionistable
Ravi is an Art Director and a very sharp dresser. He was wearing an Aquascutum mac when we started the shoot, but the salmon cardy was too good miss out on so he kindly braved the cool day and the shoot without it. Ravi is 2nd generation Mauritian and of course he still has family there. The last time he visited was 4 years ago for his brothers wedding who was the only sibling to get married in the traditional Hindu way. Ravi's wife is Greek and family is very important to both of them. He told me  his Dad is his style inspiration 'he is so dapper. He is from an era where everyone dressed well (the 60's)'. When he looks at his Dads wedding photos from back then he loves the grey tapered suit and skinny tie he was wearing. Ravi is one of the most positive people I have ever met. He is upbeat and happiness just radiates from him. His philosophy in life is 'be good and good things will happen'. Great philosophy. I totally agree with him on this. Today he is wearing a Uniqlo cardy, Aquascutum shirt, Dunhill tie, Reiss trousers and vintage shoes. While we were chatting Ravi said 'my birthday is next week' when I asked him when he said the 2nd. So today the surprise is that mine is tomorrow. So a Big Happy Birthday to Ravi today and to let you know I will be taking tomorrow off for mine. See you all again Thursday. Love and Kisses Xxxx

Out and about...a bit of bling

From Fashionistable
From Fashionistable
Elizabeth has been working for Daks for 3 weeks so far and is loving it. Originally from Leeds she is loving London. Her style influences are the lovely Alexa Chung and "bits from everywhere", online, magazines. Mostly she tries not to think too much about it. She told me she was obsessed with Big Brother and sad to see it go. I love what she is wearing. I want the shirt which is from Uniqlo. Her trousers and shoes are from Zara and her bag is as you can see is Prada.

I have made it through to the Vogue Photo blog shortlist. There are still 97 other hopefuls. I would love it if you would leave a comment for me here.

Out and about...untold

From Fashionistable
Ola is originally from Nigeria. He is the designer liaison and logistics coordinator at Un-Told. Untold is a collaboration of newly emerging designers and artists. Have a look at what they do.
For himself he likes to keep his style functional. He said that for men there is nothing new under the sun, just the order and colour changes. His favourite designers are Helmut Lang and Comme des Garcons. When I met him he was wearing his vintage Helmut Lang jacket. The broach on his jacket is by Ituen Basi a designer from Lagos. His bretton stripe top was either from Muji or Uniqlo, he couldn't remember. Obviously his bag is by Margaret Howell.  His trousers are from Joseph and finally the shoes are Office.

Riki and Jessy
From Fashionistable

Alex and Milo
From Fashionistable
From Fashionistable
Don't Riki, Jessy, Alex and Milo look great. They were very cool too. They all go to different schools but met each other through friends. Mostly their style is inspired by music. For Riki it is Yannis Philippakis from Foals. Oh and the Bombay Bicycle Club. Milo likes old Brit pop and especially the The Libertines for Alex it is Florence and the machine or Bloc Party. For Jessy though it was her mum who was a fashion designer before she came along.
Riki is wearing a T from Uniqlo, jeans from Red Herring and Nike shoes. Jessy has on short dungarees from River Island, top from Adidas, amazing tights from a trip to France. Her boots are Urban Outfitters and her bag is Paul Smith. Alex wears 2 jackets - the outer one is from Rokit, the inner hoodie is from American Apparel. Her stripy T and leggings are from H&M and her boots like Jessy are also Urban Outfitters. Milo has on a hoodie also from American Apparel, the all important black and gold Fred Perry polo, jeans from H&M and shoes from Vans. He then went on to tell me that his boxers were Calvin Klein which made everyone smile.
