Out and about....Woodstock St

From Fashionistable

Faron is a manager of All Saints and unsurprisingly she is head to toe in the brand, except for the Longchamp bag she is carrying. She told me she is a massive art fan and loves Damien Hurst, she also loves music and going to gigs. I have to say her tattoos were amazing and so beautifully done. Her love of art has flowed over onto her arms. Farons tattoos are very traditional, old school based on delicate, intricate gypsy art. The colour is added to make it all more feminine. The owl is her favourite animal and she has hidden the name of her favoutite football team in the same tattoo. Spitalfields is Faron's favourite place in London. Style wise she told me she doesn't follow anyone but herself and wears what she likes to wear from Rock and Roll to feminine chic. After she left I noticed we were on Woodstock St which I thought was very apt with her love of music.

Vicky is from Shang Dong in China and is an artist. When I saw her she had a lovely air of happiness about her. It was great to watch. When I asked her the questions I ask it became evident why. Her style influence she says is spirit energy. She likes to imagine the city as a forest. For Vicky meditation is essential, especially under a tree and she says it influences your energy more and helps you get back to nature.. Her 2 favourite places in London are the British Museum and the SOAS Library. The 1st drawing is one of Vicky's artworks (she doesnt have her work online)the 2nd is one of her boyfriends which she sent in her 1st email to me after we met. There is a great feeling of movement in it. Vicky is wearing a hat and coat she bought at Barnet Fair, her boots are Kenzo, necklace All Saints, bag COS and her umbrella is from China.

It is sometimes even better than looking at magazines." Her favourite places in London are Greenwich Park in the summer and the pubs in the winter (that last bit was said tounge in cheek). And her surprise is that she says she can't cook. Karolina's scarf is from TKMaxx, cardy is from Benetton, shirt is Topshop, leggings are American Apparel, boots are All Saints and bag is Sisley.

Out and about....liquorice allsorts

From Fashionistable
Nicola made me smile when I asked her about her style inspirations. She told me that there are a lot of things going on in her head. That London inspires her a lot and said you can be whatever character you want to be on what ever day you choose. When I asked her what character she is today she said "today I am a liquorice allsort. The coconut one with the black bit in the middle". Her favourite place in London is crossing Waterloo bridge on a Sunday. I so understand this, it is an amazing place to be at the best of times as you can see a lot of the big London landmarks from here. Her surprise for us is that she says, she is not cool really as she is really into musicals. The favourites at the moment being Westside story and Oliver. Nicola's cardy  is from Miss Selfridge, she bought her skirt in a car boot sale in Battersea, boots are Topshop and belt All Saints.

Remember there are 5 days left to the 1st Filofax (Red Chameleon) giveaway draw. To enter you must follow me here on Blogger and on Bloglovin and let me know when you have done both. Good Luck.

Out and about....Mondrian inspiration

From Fashionistable
How could Charlotte's shirt not catch your eye. It is bold and bright and is by Moschino. Moschino's motto was "fashion should be fun and should send a message". I think he would have felt this shirt lived up to his motto. Charlotte works for Modus PR. She told me that she did design at Kingston Uni and just sort of fell into PR which has been an ongoing internship. She likes East London best saying that the night life is good. Surprisingly she says she did the mini marathon when she was at school. The rest of her outfit is made up of jacket from All Saints, shorts from Topshop, shoes by Jeffery Campbell and a COS bag.

Out and about....busy, busy, busy

From Fashionistable
Sonia kindly gave me a few moments as she was very busy. Her phone kept ringing while we shot. Originally from Shanghai Sonia is setting up and managing an online fashion store. She was not ready enough to tell me the name yet. Her style influences are the high street and London in general. To surprise us she told me she loves hot spicy food. Her grey top is from All Saints, the shorts and top below the grey one are both from Topshop. The tights are from Harrods and had a lovely bow on the back, my back shot of her was not as good as this one so you just have to believe me. Her shoes and necklace are Chanel and her clutch is YSL.

Out and about....quiet mews

From Fashionistable
The title of my post today is to make Ashi smile. We walked off the main road into what we thought was a nice quiet mews. The moment I raised my camera there were boys playing football and lots of guys on scooters passing through. Then other pedestrians. We were amazed jus how busy it was. Anyway in the middle of all this chaos (and the scooter guys stopping in the shot so they could have their picture taken too) we managed to get the shot. Ashi is from London and has just finished a post grad in history of art. In Sept/Oct she will start her MA at Goldsmiths in cultural studies.
Until then she will be heading off to the South of France for a month before the end of the summer. Mmmm lucky thing. I think I need to go away again, but for longer this time maybe. Style wise Ashi is infulenced by the 50's and Audrey Hepburn. When I asked her for something surprising about herself she said if she were to have dinner with anyone past or present it would be Napoleon. "Why" I said. So she told me it was because he was inspirational and conquered the world. Here, she is wearing Fendi sunglasses, dress by All Saints, Louboutin shoes and is carrying a Pauric Sweeney bag.

Out and about....blue and green

From Fashionistable
I was lucky to catch Amy just as she was leaving work for the day and amazingly, what she was wearing beautifully complimented the colours of the building opposite. When I asked Amy what or who her style influence was she told me Annie Lennox. Good strong choice I say. Annie is brilliant.
Today Amy's look is made up of jacket from Reiss, green short top from Topshop, black top and trousers from All Saints, Her belt is from a vintage in 7 Dials near Covent Garden. Amy picked up her bag while she was on a trip to NYC and finally her shoes are Adidas. I love the way the colour and trim of the shoes tie in with the blue of the jacket.
Initially when I asked Amy to tell me something surprising about herself she told me once sold organic chocolate in a store in Devon. She is now an account exec in an Ad agency. However she then later went on to tell me she used to be the deputy editor of fashion and sports magazine Anglomania. It was doing really well locally but when it decided to go global it hit a wall and then the financial crisis unfortunately hit too. So sadly the magazine folded. She then decided this was probably a more surprising fact about her than the chocolate shop.
