Out and about....Lifestyle Hunters

From Fashionistable
Linda and Niels of Lifestyle Hunters are great and really stand out in the crowd. The way they co-ordinate is wonderful. I first shot them here and always enjoy bumping into them. There is a lovely anticipation each day to see what their vision for the day is going to be. Today as you can see Linda has matched her tights with Niels coat and dress with his bowtie. Subtle and beautifully done.
Linda is wearing a Denis Deiem dress and Gucci shoes and is carrying a Chanel bag. Niels is wearing a custom made Blue Blood jean suit, a coat of his own design and Santoni shoes.

Out and about....Vigo St

From Fashionistable

Marion is living in England to improve her English so that when she moves back to Paris she can fulfill her wish to work in fashion management. Her style influence's change depending on the day. Today it is old school, it is sometimes rock, sometimes French classic and sometimes glamour. Her favourite place's in London are Oxford Street and Westfields and in Paris it is the Champs Elysees and Saint Michel. Marion's surprise is that she likes to dance with her earphones on, "I dance and dream". Here she is wearing Gucci glasses, Zara jacket and trousers, Mims shirt, her tie is a hairband and La Redoute shoes.

Out and about....small town, big city

From Fashionistable
Pedro and David are both from the same small town in Portugal and are both studying fashion design at St Martins. (Are we looking at the next big designer collaboration in fashion?) When I asked them what they liked best about London they both agreed it was the freedom to express themselves in their dress. They used to be ridiculed for the way they dress in the small town they are from, saying in London people are more individual and original and like what they wear. Ari Seth Cohen over at Advanced Style wrote an interesting piece this week about a young man from South Carolina asking for help with the fashion bulling he was going through. So it goes on everywhere.
Pedro told me the the most surprising thing about himself is the way he wears his clothes. David told me he could knit. Now these guys are dressed wonderfully and after they had gone I was kicking myself that I didn't give you a close up on their hands as they were both wearing amazing rings. I will tell you about them in a mo when I let you know where they are from. Pedro's style influence today is Philip Treacy and military. Usually it is just the 1st thing he sees. Here he is wearing a hat by Philip Tracey, his coat and shirt are Burberry, I think (a combination of atrocious hand writing and it was cold). Levi jeans, Gucci shoes, vintage glasses, Caroline Herrera bag and an Alexander McQueen skull ring. David is wearing a Rick Owens coat, Dsquared cardy, Levi's, boots from and alternative shop in Portugal and a YSL ring.

Out and about....Christmas delight

From Fashionistable
For todays post we have the second Rosie I photographed for BBH. Rosie is a Creative Director and has been with the agency since its start up 26 years ago. She was amazed when she thought about it, she has grown up with them. Rosie has been in London since she was 18 when she went to St Martins. When she at art school she said she used to dress in 50's vintage with a touch of New Romantic as it suited her shape. It also allowed her to be creative with what she wore and allowed her individuality. Rosie still has a strong sense of what she likes and what she knows suits her. For example she knows wide leg trousers and loose waistlines are out as she says they make her look fat. Her style choices are not faddy but are fashion conscious. Rosie has a few surprising things. To start with she has 2 teenage sons. To keep fit she likes to fence (I would love to learn to do this too). She is gregarious and fun loving but hates being the center of attention and is genuinely happy walking the dog on the beach.
Here she is wearing a jacket from Chloe, shirt from Zara, trousers from Hennes and very cool boots from Gucci. This is my last post until after the festive period. I wish you all a great time and wonderful 2011. Lots to love to you all an a big thank you for following me in 2010. Xxxxx

Out and about....Thouq

From Fashionistable
Yousef is from Kuwait and is the fashion editor for the online magazine Thouq. He was in London for 10 days, for inspiration and to find lots of different looks. He told me that from his perspective each of the big European cities have their own unique look and feel. Paris is black, Milan is colour and London is a combination of both and is also funky. His own style is either casual or extreme depending on his mood. It was a cold day, so casual was obviously winning. His surprise and I guess phobia too is rabbits - no rabbit fur for him then. His hat he bought in Paris but can't remember where from. Sweater is H&M, jeans are by Marc Jacobs, boots are Gucci, bag Balenciaga and the shades are Ray Ban. The amazing chunky bracelet is by Givenchy, his watch is a Swatch and his ring was custom made and is his name in Arabic.

Out and about....early appointment

From Fashionistable
Carrie was in a rush to an important appointment when we met - hope it went well for her. It was good of her to stop for me at all. She is is originally from Tipperary. Her surprise was how calm she was feeling even though I was holding her up. For her appointment she was wearing Gucci shoes, mac from Joseph, a Fendi dress and her bag is by Jacqui (I think).

Out and about....Norwegian style

From Fashionistable
Kjersti has been a stylist for 10 years how. She is brilliant. Check out her work here. I spotted her as she was coolly strolling down Oxford Street enjoying being on holiday. She describes her own style as quite comfortable with clean lines which she makes more interesting with accessories. Here she is wearing Gucci glasses, T by Weekday, jeans from Urban Outfitters. Her shoes are by Don Donna and bag is Longchamp. Now for the jewelery which she said is from all over the place so I asked specifically about her snake bracelet, she told me she had just bought it the day before in Camden along with the skull and other ring you can see.

I have made it through to the Vogue Photo blog shortlist. There are still 97 other hopefuls. I would love it if you would leave a comment for me here.

Out and about....Gucci boy

From Fashionistable
I met Andre on the sunny side of the street. But the light was too harsh so we popped into the shade, where the light was still lovely. Andre is a psycology student. He is originally from Indo China but has been in the UK for 9 years now. He loves fashion and called himself Gucci boy, his accessories are both by Gucci. His top is from Unconditional, the vest is Calvin Klein, trousers are River Island and his shoes are from Poste.
Andre takes his style inspiration from Bryan Boy. I asked him to tell me something surprising about himself and he told me that 2 weeks ago he had long very curly hair. This is such a sharp look I can't even imagine him with long curly hair.
