Out and about....top love

"The most lovely thing for me is freedom" was Masha's reply to my surprise question. My guess was she was on holiday like myself as she told me she was Ukrainian but that is my guess. It might have been where she originated from. Her blue top was a present from a boyfriend, the black top from Stradaivarius, Zara shoes and an Accessorize bag.

Out and about....Tokyo Kaytoko

 Kayoko is a ballet dancer. Her surprise for us is that she is half Japanese, I guess she is giving us a hint with the choice of city name on her top. She is wearing a top and bag from Zara, skirt from Pull and Bear with All Saints shoes.

Out and About....Graduate Fashion Week 2013 day 1

I am starting the Graduate Fashion Week with this one image of Khloe and Benjamin. I was loving the mono vibe between them. They are both graduating from Liverpool Johns in Fashion Communication. Khloe is wearing Oliver Peoples Gregory Peck glasses, everything is Topshop. Benjamin is wearing  Tom Ford glasses, Zara jacket and top, ASOS trousers, Zara shoes and he found his bag in the loft at home.
Today I was also shooting for Vogue so the rest of my images from today will go live tomorrow.

Martell Mr Flyy Campell and Donya Partice are a brother and sister team, they are both multi-talented designers and stylists. A Young British Gentleman and Gentlewoman. Martell is wearing a Tails of the Unexpected hat, Ben Sherman jacket and shirt, Mr Porter pocket sq, Albam trousers, Oliver Sweeney socks and Paul Smith shoes. Donya is wearing a Christys hat, Paul Smith blazer, socks, shoes and bag, Zara jumper and  trousers and Sarah Ho jewelery.

Anne is a Research Manager. Originally from Berlin Anne has live in London for the past 2 and a half years. She told me that her style is heavily influenced by her Berlin roots, with its liberalism, vintage and hippy vibe. Anne describes herself as an artist and says she has been so since she stated to walk. This crosses over into the way she dresses saying that she see how she dresses every day as a little piece of art, it is her way of expressing herself. Allowing personal freedom and self fulfillment. I had never thought of fashion in these terms before and it certainly is food for thought. Anne's favourite place in London is Shoreditch and in Berlin is all of East Berlin and especially Kreuzkoeln.
She is wearing at top by Thu Thu who is a friend of hers, a Zara skirt, Office ankle boots and her doctors bag is from her Mum who is a Doctor.

Jemima is originally form Perth and is an Interior Designer. She told me she didn't really have a style influence but always likes what Kate Moss and Alexa Chung wears. Her favourite place in London is the V&A and surprisingly she used to be a volunteer at a cat haven. Erika was on the way to the hairdressers when we met. It turned out that she is a model with Zone agency. She told me she likes to travel but at the moment London is her home. And her favourite places in London are Chelsea and Mayfair. Style wise she said "I can be everything", which I guess is pretty handy when you are a model. In the picture she is wearing a Primark dress, Zara shoes, Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses and is carrying an Armani Exchange bag.

Sam is an image consultant and Tiara is a model. Sam has just moved to London from California and says his style influence is European style. His favourite place so far is Oxford Circus. Tiara describes her usual style as mixture of hard and soft, today she is in her agency all black directive. Her favourite place in the city is the Westminster area. Sam's surprise was that he is actually Nigerian and Tiara's is that she is very artistic and loves to paint and draw. Sam is wearing a hat from Urban Outfitters, G.Star jacket, Rich Trends t-shirt, Zara trousers and Prada shoes. Tiara's go to outfit comprised of a hat she bought in Paris, H&M top, and bag and Topshop skirt.

I have to start my post by saying that the 1st image today is one of the reasons I truly love streetstyle photography all summed up in one word, spontaneity. If I had been setting this up we would have had to get a whole team together and cast the bike and rider for the background. Well maybe the guy on the bike would have looked different, but apart from that I couldn't have asked for more. It is such a kick when you see it all fall into place in the lens. And to have Doina as the main focus of the shot, perfect. Doina is the force behind The Golden Diamonds, her about me says that her biggest dreams are to develop the Fashion Industry in Moldova and also to become a politician. So quite a broad brush of interests. She has certainly been making in roads on the fashion front as I was just reading in her tweets that the shoot for her own collection was taking place on yesterday - Monday. And you will eventually be able to see it and buy it from here. So to give you a flavour of what to expect, the skirt and shirt in the 1st shot are her own design, which she has paired with an Armani coat, Chloe shoes and YSL bag. In the second the jacket is her own design, worn with Massimo Dutti jeans, Zara sweater, Chloe shoes and is carrying her iPad in a Stella McCartney iPad cover. Her last look is made up of a polo neck and skirt from ASOS, vintage lace over the polo, YSL shoes and she is carrying a Moschino bag.

Now isn't this a clever way to advertise your brand - write it on your bag for everyone to see. Nancy works for online magazine Un Brin Allurees, but also designs her own jewelery. The necklace and animal head rings she is wearing are her own. Her top was designed by her friend Julia Proha and her trousers are Zara.

The shop where Amy works as a sales assistant and front of house has got to be chocolate heaven.
I walked passed and walked back, Amy looked so relaxed in her sweet surroundings. She describes her style as old school vintage. Her favourite place in London is Camden. Our surprise is that she represented England baton twirling. I have only ever met one other baton twirler and he was a waiter in a restaurant in Miami we used to go to when I was an assistant. He used to twirl the salt and pepper before offering it to us. It was pretty impressive. Here Amy is wearing a Primark scarf, a H&M kids jacket, Topman shirt, Zara trousers and her shoes are called Flossy and are from Office.

Niels Oostenbrink  from Lifestyle Hunters, told me that his look for today was influenced by the colour orange and the Zara fur "I like to pop with the colours". With Britain facing a hosepipe ban we could use a few more days like the one I took Olivia's picture on. How do other countries who have a lot less rain than we do cope I ask myself.... Only after I stopped Emily did I realise that her coat is a combination of a mac and and the beautiful overcoat. Emily's mum made her this piece. I love the shape it makes and the fact it is blue and grey. I would really love one of these. Both Emily and her mum are designers. Emily is a lingerie designer for Ace Style - they supply a lot of the high st stores. So you could have on some of her designs now ladies. Her mum is a knitwear designer and you can see her work here. It was a love of what her mum did that took Emily on the path she is on and at one point her mum was her teacher. She then went on to study contour fashion at De Montfort Uni. Emily has been at Ace Style for a year and a half now. It is her 1st job out of Uni. Her style influences are 2nd hand shops, 1930's vintage, just looking around and she loves silk and lace and is always drawn to it. Which I guess is a good thing for a lingerie designer. Her surprise was that she preformed ballet for Prince Charles at the Royal Albert Hall as part of one of the Royal Variety Performances. Emily's favourite place in London is Gordon's wine bar near Embankment. Overcoat Joan Murray Knitware, mack Zara, bag from a Hong Kong market, shoes Office.

Marion is living in England to improve her English so that when she moves back to Paris she can fulfill her wish to work in fashion management. Her style influence's change depending on the day. Today it is old school, it is sometimes rock, sometimes French classic and sometimes glamour. Her favourite place's in London are Oxford Street and Westfields and in Paris it is the Champs Elysees and Saint Michel. Marion's surprise is that she likes to dance with her earphones on, "I dance and dream".
