Out and about....Charterhouse Street

From Fashionistable
Sofia has a 1/2 Greek and 1/2 Spanish background and is a fashion buyer, she has certainly pulled her own look together very well. I love the military and feminine mix. In fact Sofia says she loves femininity in fashion and said that "girls should always wear dresses". Heels too but flats are OK if you have to walk a long way. She also loves the 60's era, classic women and Kelly Brooke. Sofia likes to travel and recently went to Bali which she says is the most beautiful place she has been to yet. On life and travel she said "I think it is important for people to find their sanctuary. And you can only do that out of your comfort zone." In London Sofia's favourite place is Covent Garden. Here she is wearing a coat she bought online. Topshop dress, Forever 21 shoes and is carrying a Louis Vuitton bag.

Out and about....give me sunshine

From Fashionistable
It is just so wonderful when the sun shines. I love it when the light looks like this. I want more. I met Sinead on Oxford street and you don't have to go very far off it for it to look very different to that very busy thoroughfare. Sinead is from Australia and is in London on holiday for a couple of weeks. Not for the Olympics, that was just a coincidence. It was only her 2nd day in London so she had no favourite place here yet so I asked her favourite place in her home town Sydney and that is Surrey Hills. Sinead's surprise was that she is also a photographer. She describes her style as eclectic as it depends on her mood, so changes on a daily basis. Today she is obviously working her inner rock chic with a vintage Harley Davidson T, leather shorts she had made bespoke in Bali, Windsor Smith boots and carrying a Marcs bag.

Out and about....new shutter

From Fashionistable
This was the last shot I managed to get before the shutter in my camera stopped working properly. I didn't even realise until I had photographed 2 more people, so Fiona and Caroline if you are watching I am sorry but the pictures I took of you are just too soft to publish. It has been very weird not having my camera with me when I go out. (Had to borrow one for the Wireless festival thank you Fixation for looking after me.)
Carla is from Barcelona and is in London to learn/improve her English. She told me she loves styling, modelling (which she does for friends blogs) and magazines. She told me her friends say that her own personal style is curious and strange. Looks cool to me though. For he surprise she told me that she loves relationships with people, that she is very sociable and loves to communicate and share opinions. Here she is wearing a dress and boots she bought in Santako Street in Barcelona, and her jacket is by Lois Andreas.

Out and about....Diamond Jubilee Weekend

From Fashionistable

Let the party begin. London has been preparing for weeks now for the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations and I am sure this is also being played out in towns and villages across the UK. There are Union Jacks everywhere. I will be out and about on the Sunday and Tuesday it will be such a historic long weekend and am really looking forward to it. If you are in the UK what are you up to? All you guys from around the world will you be watching on the telly? I thought the pictures of Ben were the prefect way to kick of this great weekend for us. See what I mean about the Union Jacks. Ben is an Interiors Consultant and is originally from Middlesbrough. He is however on the move again as his surprise was that he was about to hand in his resignation and go traveling around S. America for 4 months starting with Belize. His style influence is eclectic East London, it is also his favourite place in London. To continue our very British theme he is wearing an Alexander McQueen coat - isn't the detailing wonderful. His shirt is Dior, jeans Topman, DM boots, necklace from Camden Market and his bracelets are by JW Anderson.

Out and about....Floral St

From Fashionistable
Zac works for Louboutin how cool is that. Saying that when I asked him his surprise he told me that he has 300 pairs of shoes and that his new flat has a room just for shoes. Now here is a man whose love of shoes has him working for one of the best. Style wise Zac dresses with his mood which can be flamboyant or casual. He likes to wear a lot of designer brand key pieces which are an easy fit with high street. He also has a lot of fur. Zac's favourite place in London is Shoreditch House. Here he is wearing a jacket and trousers from Aqua - Carnaby Street. Louboutin shoes (of course), fur from Brick Lane and COS top.

Reggie is the editor of Luxure magazine and a photographer. He was very bemused when I asked to photograph him as he walked. But it worked and we have some great shots as a result. I am enjoying doing this. He describes his style as traditional, classic English style. His favourite place in London is East London/Shorditch. Reggie is wearing a Bates hat, Ozwald Boateng suit, Asah Teban shirt and tie and Churches shoes.

Out and about....the first Vogue Festival

From Fashionistable

From Fashionistable
To say how happy I am when Vogue call would be an understatement and when they asked me to cover the first ever Vogue Festival with PR and Street Chic pictures I was blown away. The list of speakers read like a who's who of the fashion world. It was a brilliant idea that came together smoothly and seemingly effortlessly which belied the enormous effort that went it to make it just so good. And all I can say to you all is look out for it next year and nab your tickets quick. It will be money well spent. For me it was 2, full on days of shooting getting shots ready on site and uploaded to Vogue as the event was happening so they could live as it was happening. Then yesterday was a full day of prepping the Street Chic work. All that on top of battling with a cold that had me loose my voice on Friday which meant I had to whisper to everyone. I really hope you like the results. I don't think I have ever produced so many pictures in such a short time. To see the PR images click here - they are not all mine I have a credit for the ones I took. To see the Street Chic images click here - the 1st 30 are mine.

I only managed to get that Poppy is wearing a Zadig and Voltaire top here. I have to say though I am loving the very American feel of her look with the stars and stripes. Poppy models for both Storm and Elite.

Out and about....let it rain, let it rain, let it rain

From Fashionistable
With Britain facing a hosepipe ban we could use a few more days like the one I took Olivia's picture on. How do other countries who have a lot less rain than we do cope I ask myself.... Olivia says that her usual style influence is military uniforms but today is Rock Chick. Her style icons are Daphne Guinness and Kate Moss. Here she is wearing a hat she found, a Topshop shirt, Hogan jacket, Zara trousers, Kurt Geiger shoes and vintage glasses.

Out and about....Oxford Circus

From Fashionistable
Karolina is originally from Poland and has been living in the UK for 5 years now and is a store manager for The Sequal. She says her style influence is the streets "What I see on the street reflects what I wear. Oxford and Regent Street are the biggest catwalks in the world. It is sometimes even better than looking at magazines." Her favourite places in London are Greenwich Park in the summer and the pubs in the winter (that last bit was said tounge in cheek). And her surprise is that she says she can't cook. Karolina's scarf is from TKMaxx, cardy is from Benetton, shirt is Topshop, leggings are American Apparel, boots are All Saints and bag is Sisley.

When I asked him about his own style he said he likes to wear anything dark, he doesn't like colour. He also likes his clothing to be comfy and relaxed.Originally from Newcastle his favourite place in London so far is Shoreditch and back home is South Shields. His surprise for us is that he likes Soul and Blues music. He is wearing a Topman scarf, a cardy from ASOS, his Aunty knit his sweater for him, trousers are from Camden Market and his boots are Vivienne Westwood.

Out and about....happy smile

From Fashionistable
I think Francesca was bemused to be photographed. Her pink hat and those great boots just caught me and pulled me in. Francesca is a fashion designer for Twenty8Twelve. Her design influences are people, art, everything really. The Tate Modern is her favourite place in London for chilly days. Where she doesn't have to think about anything else. It is inspirational. Her surprise was that she goes to footblaa with her Dad. Not that she follows football really "it is just nice to be with my Dad". Everything Francesca is wearing is Acne, except her shirt which is American Apparel and her bag which is vintage Prada.
