Out And About....Annie Johnson

I have decided to post street style more regularly again. When I started shooting street style in August 2009 I only ever shot actual Street Style until I started going to fashion weeks. For a long time it was a mix of the two. Then only fashion week street style.

I felt a bit nervous to be honest hitting the streets. However I had no need to be, as I was rewarded by meeting the very lovely Annie. She is in London on holiday from Darlington, where she works as a dental nurse. She was so happy I had asked to take her photo. I had completely forgotten how happy me doing this made people. It made me very happy in return. There is sooooo much negative press about street style out there that it is easy to forget just how joyful it can be. I (as I have from the beginning) asked Annie to tell me something surprising about herself - When she was 12 she shaved all her hair off. She was very happy with the result, however no one else did, at the time. Ever since then she has always had an undercut in memory of it. To my surprise,  she is called Annie Johnson one of my favourite people shares her name.

The last 2 images here perfectly sum up London Fashion Week. After the amazing summer we had, had it was truly miserable weather for Fashion Week. It is amazing there are any images at all.
For me it ended up being the biggest challenge of my career. I was working flat out with a chest cold, my camera was acting up and on the final day I woke early to the dreaded black screen on my computer. Thank goodness I was in London when all this was happening as I had my wonderful husband here to help and support me through it all. You see every cloud has a silver lining.

It was lovely to bump into Francesco the other day. It is usually only during Fashion Weeks we see each other. Francesco is a Fashion Consultant and Blogger, you can see his blog here. And a picture I took of him for GQ here. This time we had a bit more time to chat so I was able to ask him more about himself. When asked where his favourite place in London was he gave me 4 answers. To visit is The Tate Modern "I find the place fascinating". To eat "this changes very often, currently Meat Liquor does great a burger in a cool setting." To drink is "The Art Club in Dover Street". For wondering around is "Brixton Village, because south is the new east!"And for our surprise he said "I'd love to live in the National Gallery, surrounded by beautiful art and history"
In our 1st picture today Francesco is wearing a Dior coat, McQueen scarf, Jil Sander trousers, Paul Smith socks Zara shoes and clutch in both shots is MCL by Matthew Campbell Laurenza.
The 2nd shot was taken during LFW Francesco was excited that I taking him into the middle of the road to take his picture. Here he is wearing H&M glasses and top, Lanvin shirt and shoes, Fendi bowtie and 5th Avenue shoe repair trousers.

Mary is a model and a DJ, she told me her style influences are the 1960's and Anita Pallenberg. That brilliant coat is by Giambattista Valli, she is carrying a Mulberry bag, her shoes are Jeffery Campbell and jewellery is Vivienne Westwood.
