Focus On Victoria Sekrier

I first met Victoria when I was shooting everyday street style for Vogue UK. I was unaware at the time of asking but she was in the middle of a shoot, she was modelling at the time. So it was very kind of her and the team she was with to allow me a few minutes to shoot too. After that 1st meeting I then started to see Victoria around the fashion weeks. She was going to the shows as a guest not a model though. It was because she had moved sideways and had started working as a stylist which is what she still does now. These images were shot in collaboration with The Lifestyle Edit.

A dress with movement is always fun and when someone like Jessica is happy to play, then the results are wonderful. Jessica is a model, one of her most recent jobs being on the runway for Victoria's Secret. Here she is wearing a Valentino dress, Portmans shoes and Spektre glasses.

Out and about....Yasmin Le Bon

As a young photographer I used to dream of photographing the girls who had put the name Super into the world of modeling. I guess you never know just when your dreams will become a reality. So you can imagine how I felt when Conde Nast College asked me if I could come and photograph Yasmin Le Bon. Excited, nervous and happy to name a few of those feelings. Yasmin had come to the college to talk to the students about the world of modeling, which she did with humour and fun. And it is when she is talking that you realise that it is this mixture along with the fact she is so beautiful of course, that made her successful. She talked of working with Horst and Peter Lindberg and the importance of her relationship with the photographer. How working practices have changed in the digital age. When the stylist and hair and make-up artists can be so busy with their phones they are not concentrating on their job, which while shooting is happening is to keep there eyes on her. Where even the delivery boy once had had an opinion when again everyone was busy looking this time at the computer the screen instead of the action on set. Now she has measures in place to ensure this does not happen.
She also told us what it was like moving between editorial and catwalk, because of course you forget that they used to be two totally different fields of expertise. That when it first started to happen the editorial girls all kept together for survival as the catwalk girls could be fierce.
Of running from show to show in Paris on public transport or on foot. And now being amazed how they managed to do 5 or 6 shows a day. All the more amazing for me as I see the models being picked up and whisked off on the back of motorbikes, there were no such luxuries for the girls then. It is the likes of me now who are using public transport or going by foot between the shows.
When the speakers arrive at the college there is very little time  between their arrival and the talk starting. So I set everything up before they arrive so I make sure I use my 5 minutes wisely and well.
When we were shooting she said "when I am being me I can smile". So here we have the very lovely real Yasmin Le Bon.

My favourite time of the day especially on holiday is sunset, the light is just wonderful. As the sun set on my holiday my final sunshine girl is Laura. Originally from the Netherlands Laura has been living in the sun for the past 3 years. She is both an artist and a model. If you have a mo check out the link to her work she is good. She is wearing Amica shorts, Victory shoes and is carrying a Kate Moss Longchamps bag.

Out and about...Joan's rising star

The first time I photographed Joan was in September 2011 and there was only her and I. How things have changed, this time I could hardly get near her. Well done Joan.
The rest of my images from Couture can be seen on Vogue here.

Out and about....Suki the model actress

While shooting recently during London Collections Men I decided to turn my attention to the women too. Suki was standing chatting with a group of others and kindly let me take her out of the group to take this shot. When I asked her what she was wearing she didn't answer but one of the others stepped in and told me. I thought at the time strange and then remembered, when preparing this shot another similar situation in Milan when it turned out I had just photographed a Bollywood star.
So I have just googled Suki. She is a model and actress who at the time of writing is going out with Bradley Cooper. The amazing coat she is wearing is by Burberry.

Out and about....Crispin St

From Fashionistable
I would say the location for today's shot is probably one of the most iconic in Spitalfields. It is certainly on of my favourites and it takes a lot not to drag everyone over to this spot to take pictures. It is wonderful that the owners keep the brilliant old painted shop front.
Louie is both a model and a visual merchandiser. When I asked him for his favourite place in London. He said "it must be Shorditch, well at least it the place I spend most of my time". His surprise for us is that he used to play football for Luton. Saying that even he finds that surprising now. I couldn't help asking him to tell me the story behind his magnificent moustache. He grew it 2 years ago for Movember, although he only managed to raise £1 for his efforts back then he has kept it going since.
Louie is wearing a Coat and trousers from French Connection, a shirt he bought in a market in Barcelona, Primark socks and Dr Martin shoes.

Out and about....Movember Monday

From Fashionistable
I have decided to start a Monday Man series. And what a better way to kick off than speaking about a month dedicated to the health of men - Movember.

In their own words Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health. Movember - a global movement
Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.9 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate with formal campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Czech Republic. In addition, Movember is aware of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas supporting the campaign and men’s health causes across the globe, from Russia to Dubai, Hong Kong to Antarctica, Rio de Janeiro to Mumbai, and everywhere in between.

When I met James he was out promoting Movember and Gillette with their "The best a Mo can get campaign". They have a pop up shop at 10 Newburgh Street, London, W1F 7RN Visitors will be given tips on how to style their moustache, and a luxury shaving experience, plus lots of other events happening during Movember. So guys if you fancy a bit of pampering and styling tips as you grow your Mo pop along and say hello. (This is not a sponsored post, just being a MoSister).

James is a model, his surprise for us is that he is a fully licensed racing driver. His favourite place in London is Brick Lane. Here he is wearing a Barbour jacket, Jaxon hat, everything else is Topman.
