Out and about....Suki the model actress

While shooting recently during London Collections Men I decided to turn my attention to the women too. Suki was standing chatting with a group of others and kindly let me take her out of the group to take this shot. When I asked her what she was wearing she didn't answer but one of the others stepped in and told me. I thought at the time strange and then remembered, when preparing this shot another similar situation in Milan when it turned out I had just photographed a Bollywood star.
So I have just googled Suki. She is a model and actress who at the time of writing is going out with Bradley Cooper. The amazing coat she is wearing is by Burberry.

Out and about....David and Sarah

From Fashionistable
I have had the good fortune to have photographed David quite a few times now and he is wonderfully calm and gracious in the middle of the flurry of photography activity his arrival always brings. Before the Margaret Howell show during the recent London Collections Men I had mentioned to him that I had photographed his beautiful girlfriend Sarah at the opening of the Somerset Skating season for Vogue. We talked briefly about having careers that had them regularly on opposite sides of the world. So it was a real treat to see them together.
David is seen here in a Spencer Hart suit, Thom Sweeney tie and Russell and Bromley shoes. Sarah is wearing a J.W.Anderson top and trousers and Burberry shoes.
Look out for David's first Blue Steel Appeal charity event for Red Nose Day event which will take place on March 7, with an eBay auction of a selection of money-can’t-buy fashion items.

Louise has just graduated in Illustration and is deciding what's next. We met just after she had been to see the D&AD student competition exhibition in Spitalfields. Spitalfields also happens to be her favourite place in the city. Her style influences are designers like Raf Simons, old TV shows, films and Romwe. Her surprise was that she used to rock climb. For our shots she is wearing a COS dress and shirt, Office shoes, Burberry watch and is carrying a Longchamp bag.

Out and about....facing traffic

From Fashionistable
Maria is from Latvia and works in fashion retail for Net-A-Porter. She has only been in the UK 4 or 5 months so is new here. She says she has been surprised by the weather and the very nice people here. Her favourite place so far is Greenwich, which reminds me I haven't been there for a very long time. Must check it out again. She told me she tends to drink a lot of coffee and coke. Her headphones belong to her boyfriend, says they have a good sound, she was listening to SOAD when I stopped her.
Her shirt is H&M, trousers Burberry, shoes Hilfiger and she bought her bag in a street market.

Out and about....enjoying London

From Fashionistable
Laina and Guoquan are both 2nd year students and both from China. Laina is studying jewelery design and Guoquan, magazine publishing. They both like the shopping and life in London. Liana's favourite place is Piccadilly Circus and Guoquan's is Mayfair. Laina draws inspiration from nature and photos for her jewelery designs and Guoquan's surprise is he loves to dance in nightclubs. Laina's look is compromised of glasses from Chanel, Burberry coat, her top and shorts were bought in China, berry tights from Wolford, shoes Miu Miu and I cant make out where she got her bag from, maybe Celene. Guoquan is wearing a hat from Marc Jacobs, jacket from Acne, shirt and jeans Topman, shoes Louboutin and is carrying a Celine bag.

Out and about....small town, big city

From Fashionistable
Pedro and David are both from the same small town in Portugal and are both studying fashion design at St Martins. (Are we looking at the next big designer collaboration in fashion?) When I asked them what they liked best about London they both agreed it was the freedom to express themselves in their dress. They used to be ridiculed for the way they dress in the small town they are from, saying in London people are more individual and original and like what they wear. Ari Seth Cohen over at Advanced Style wrote an interesting piece this week about a young man from South Carolina asking for help with the fashion bulling he was going through. So it goes on everywhere.
Pedro told me the the most surprising thing about himself is the way he wears his clothes. David told me he could knit. Now these guys are dressed wonderfully and after they had gone I was kicking myself that I didn't give you a close up on their hands as they were both wearing amazing rings. I will tell you about them in a mo when I let you know where they are from. Pedro's style influence today is Philip Treacy and military. Usually it is just the 1st thing he sees. Here he is wearing a hat by Philip Tracey, his coat and shirt are Burberry, I think (a combination of atrocious hand writing and it was cold). Levi jeans, Gucci shoes, vintage glasses, Caroline Herrera bag and an Alexander McQueen skull ring. David is wearing a Rick Owens coat, Dsquared cardy, Levi's, boots from and alternative shop in Portugal and a YSL ring.

Out and about....hope 2011

From Fashionistable
The sun shone yesterday, hooray it sure lifted my spirits. Hope it lifted all of yours too. I got so much done it was brilliant. Jennifer is from Manchester and is in her final year of a Fashion Design course. When we met she was in London picking up some supplies for her collection. When I asked her about the future she told me she hopes to make Graduate Fashion Week and then find some work experience.
Her style influence for now is making do and borrowing. But ideally and again looking to the future it will be Givenchy. Surprisingly she told me that "although I look demure I really am quite naughty". Here she is wearing an old Burberry mac borrowed from a friend. Her fringed bag is Lipsy, boots are Carvela and her scarf is vintage from Pop.

Out and about....belted

From Fashionistable
I love the way Kristina has buttoned and belted her Burberry mac. She is an account manager at a web design agency called Propeller. Kristina is originally from Russia, then New Zealand and has been in the UK for 2 years now. The rest of her outfit is made up of Gap T, H&M trousers. Nine West shoes and Mimco bag. When I asked her to tell me more about herself she said she loves good food, good wine and good coffee.
