Out and about....Paris

Sofie Valkiers of Fashionata outside the craziness of getting to or leaving the Dior show. I would say that this is the most dangerous show for us all to work outside of now. It used to be the show I made my way to start Paris Fashion Week from but from now on for Ready to Wear at least will be the show I stay away from - until they start inviting me in of course.
Sofie is very sweet and it has been nice to see her growing as a personality on the circuit. Here she is wearing Celine glasses a Zara top with a Red Valentino skirt and Jimmy Choo shoes and Choo bag.

Guan Hejin is a confectioner and is her own sweet confection in her Prada glasses, Dior coat, Issey Miyake dress, Valentino shoes and Dior bag.

Michelle Elie is Prim, well that is her brand name. Once a model, then a Cordon Blu trained chef she is now a jewellery designer. She is very expressive in her fashion choices and moves them amazingly. Here she is wearing a Comme des Garcons coat and trousers with Louboutin shoes and Dolce and Gabbana glasses.

I do love hoods, guess I always have. My favourite sweatshirt as a kid had one. So whenever I see an interesting one I like to see what they look like up. They can be very dramatic and tell a whole different story when up. And depending on the garment lend romance and mystery or in some circles menace and fear. For fashion thank goodness it is the former.
Both Nasiba and Natasha's hoods are by Valentino from the ready to wear fall/winter 2013/14 collection.

A dress with movement is always fun and when someone like Jessica is happy to play, then the results are wonderful. Jessica is a model, one of her most recent jobs being on the runway for Victoria's Secret. Here she is wearing a Valentino dress, Portmans shoes and Spektre glasses.

So fashion month is over. It was hard work, sleep deprived and totally wonderful. Wonderful because I was taking pictures every day and was surrounded by lovely well dressed people, so strangely makes it life easier. I have so many pictures in my archive I still haven't shared with you. This is one of them. When I was going through my shots I opened this one which had just been labeled Editor. There is no way of knowing everyone you take pictures of and sometimes it is nice to shoot just for the pictures sake. When I opened the image I realised that actually I do recognise her now and shot her again this time for Vogue when I was in Milan in September, you can see that image here. This is the beautiful Leila Yavari, former political science Ph.D. student at Berkley turned fashion model and is now fashion director for StyleBop.com

While I was taking pictures during LFW these were the words of one of my editors "we love Peony make sure you take her picture". Anyone who knows me knows I have been taking pictures of Peony for years now. And is no surprise she is a darling of the fashion editors as well the photographers.
