From Fashionistable

I want to go shopping with Andreea from Dreaming of Chanel. Can you believe that everything she is wearing is high street. I was bowled over when she told me what she was wearing. It is so beautifully put together. Here goes, coat Zara, skirt Forever 21, jewellery New Look, watch River Island, shoes and bag Primark, belt Topshop and earrings Chanel. When asked for a surprise she told me she just loves life. Me too.

Out and about....Dorrington St

From Fashionistable
When I first saw Aline apart from seeing her great colourful, patterned trousers I also thought she was French. So it was interesting to find out once we started talking that what I was seeing was her mother in her, as she is 1/2 French from her mothers side. Style wise she likes the effortless chic the French have and she describes her own style as casual, comfortable chic, quite relaxed. Aline is a copywriter for Fab UK her is a link to their site and their blog. She travels every day from Brighton to work in London. Favourite places in London are Leather Lane and Camden and her favourite place in Brighton is the sea. Aline's surprise for us was that she has climbed the 2nd highest mountain in the world K2 in flip flops because her boots were hurting too much. Respect. She is wearing a Topshop top, River Island trousers, sandals she bought in Sydney. The leaf on her necklace was a present from her Mum which she put on a different chain and her bag is from Greece.

....her style was showgirl (Las Vegas style). It's true. Lola is a model with Nevs but she had the day off and was celebrating her birthday and was turning heads with this wonderful striking look. Her surprise was herself, she says she surprises herself most of the time. Her 2 favourite places in London are Shoreditch and Brixton. Her black and white coat is from River Island, the denim jacket is from Beyond Retro, shorts are Bitching and Junkfood, top is from an American charity shop, leggings H&M and stripper shoes.

I have another Guest Blog post  up over at Tell us Fashion. You can see it here.

Out and about....plaited

From Fashionistable
From Fashionistable
I would love to be able to do this with my hair. Isn't it lovely. Louise has been working for Pringle for the last 3 months. She graduated from the Manchester Met last year where she studied embroidery and is now finding her feet in London. Her favourite place in London is the Southbank in nice weather. In Manchester it was the Northern Quarter. Her surprise was that she likes to do what she calls boy activities, like running and climbing. Style wise she likes to mix styles together, from bohemian to relaxed or edgy. Her she is wearing a dress from Pringle (this was the 1st time she had worn it). Shoes are River Island, bag is Orla Kiely. She did her hair herself, said it is curly and this is a way to tame it.

Our next winner in the Filofax giveaway is Mat from Buckets and Spades. As discussed at the beginning there will now be a break in the competition until after the fashion weeks are over. Everyone who has entered already your names will roll over to the next draw.

You will have noticed my name on my pic's now. I will be doing this from now on. My images are copyrighted. As per the details on my info. They are not to be used with out my permission. Those who have asked in the past I have been very happy to help. But recently I went to comment on a blog and there was one of my shots. There without permission. I thought ah well at least the blog owner will at least have given me a credit for my work. But no. I have been very upset by this. I spend a lot of time on my pictures, processing, finessing and retouching. Down even to repairing chipped nail varnish. A credit at the very least would be polite.

Out and about....project Filofax - Colour Black

From Fashionistable

In the shots today Gemma is carrying the Black Chameleon Filofax. When I asked her if she would help me with the challenge she told me she usually carries her own Filofax with her all the time. Gemma is a stylist with Carol Hayes Management. Amazingly she is also a blogger but this was pure coincidence as I didnt know until we had finished taking the pictures. She is new to the blogging world her site is called Wear is it from. When I asked her to tell me something surprising about herself her friend said "she doesnt eat any vegetables." Gemma confirmed this saying that she does not eat any fruit, veg or salad. Gemma is originally from Glasgow so when I said "so deep fried pizza for you then?" She said "oh yes." She also told me she subscribes to National Geographic and that when she tells other people in the fashion world they usually find this surprising. I find that surprising as I subscribe to it too. Gemma's favourite place in London is the Secret Garden in Regents Park. Her style influence is her Grandma she said "I wear a lot of her stuff". She much have a pretty stylish Grandma then. Gemma is wearing a top and jeans from Topshop, shoes from River Island and her necklace says Taken and was a gift from her husband on their wedding day.
Couldn't resist showing you a close up of Gemma's shoes and toes. Very colourful.

Her style influence is classic (Chanel), elegant and smart wear. She has a Brick Lane project she does where she puts up pictures in gold coloured frames and watches peoples reaction. Saying that she likes doing unexpected things. Here Katie is wearing a gillet, dress and boots from Zara, jacket from River Island, leggings from Public Beware and is carrying a Louis Vuitton bag.

From Fashionistable
James is a Londoner and works for Church's. He said the best thing about London was today's weather (as you can see it was sunny when we shot). He describes his style as an old fashioned classic look. Influenced by the America of the 20's and 30's. James like's to travel and is off to Tuscany this summer. Here, he is wearing a Prada suit. His hat is from River Island and all his other accessories are from Church's, tie, belt and shoes.

Out and about....oranges and lemons

From Fashionistable
Another cape. I am just loving these at the moment. This is a Zara one. I spotted Michelle when she was in Starbucks buying her morning coffee and knew I had to photographer her. Michelle is the head of print production at VCCP and is a London girl from Battersea. Her style is totally mood dependent and she will dress up or down accordingly. For inspiration Michelle will look at a lot a sites like Net-A-Porter then go find the equivalent on the high street. The rest of her look today consists of shirt and boots from River Island, leggings Dorothy Perkins and under her cape is a Mulberry bag. She would like to learn to shoot and has just applied for a gun license. The main reason she told me she would like to learn to shoot is to hone her concentration skills.

Out and about....In the frame

From Fashionistable
I was heading into town to take pictures when I saw Chloe on my train. As we got off at the same stop I thought perfect great start to the day. Chloe is a Londoner. She has just graduated from Westminster and is working for Calumet at the moment. Chloe is also a photographer, you can see her work here. She told me 'I photograph anything and everything at the moment until I work out exactly what I want to do'. For her pictures she likes to shoot on film and says 'it's very expensive, but I like it'. I am purely digital now but I know there are quite a few of you out there who still have celluloid dreams. I just love the magic of digital. Isn't it great we all have a choice now. It was Chloe's red hair that caught my eye and all those lovely warm layers. Her style influence's are Edie Sedgwick and Alison Mosshart from the Kills. Today Chloe has put her look look together with a hat and bag from Accessorize, scarf from River Island, charity shop jumper,  Primark jacket, H&M jeans and boots borrowed from her housemate. When I asked Chloe for something surprising about herself she told me 'I am not as old as I look.' I didn't think she looked old at all but then she told me she was 19 and I could see what she meant. She also has a wise head on those young shoulders which also gives you a different perspective on her age.

Out and about....pearls and poodles

From Fashionistable
I met the lovely Milly a while ago when she was on her way to a beauty bloggers event for The Bodyshop at Westbury Hotel. She has a beautiful blog you can check out here pearlsandpoodles, she told me it is her creative outlet. My camera was giving me jip but even though she was in a rush she was cool and waited. I love this look, especially the big heart on her t-shirt it reflects her perfectly. Milly is vegetarian and as a result is very much into ethical cosmetics. She also looks after herself by playing hockey and is into fitness. With her beautiful skin and great shape Milly is certainly a perfect ambassador for healthy living. Style wise she likes to mix high st with high end. Today we see her in a T from Topshop, River Island shorts and shoes and Louis Vuitton bag. Her style Icons are Alexa Chung and the Olsen twins.

Out and about....five star

From Fashionistable
Anita was having a well deserved 2 day rest all to herself. She said it was like having a 5 star holiday. She is a public health doctor and mother of 3 (aged 3, 4 and 5) so now you can understand where she is coming from. Her mum had the kids for the 2 days. She is in amazing shape to have 3 children so young. She told me that after the youngest was born she made a conscious decision to get into shape. Running is her fitness passion. She loves to run half marathons and has put in of next years London marathon, for the challenge.
I love her jumpsuit, it is from Karen Millen. She says it is very easy to wear. The rest of Anita's outfit is put together with shoes from Episode, glasses from M&S and bag from River Island. When I met Anita she had just been shopping for new make-up at Becca.

Out and about....Gucci boy

From Fashionistable
I met Andre on the sunny side of the street. But the light was too harsh so we popped into the shade, where the light was still lovely. Andre is a psycology student. He is originally from Indo China but has been in the UK for 9 years now. He loves fashion and called himself Gucci boy, his accessories are both by Gucci. His top is from Unconditional, the vest is Calvin Klein, trousers are River Island and his shoes are from Poste.
Andre takes his style inspiration from Bryan Boy. I asked him to tell me something surprising about himself and he told me that 2 weeks ago he had long very curly hair. This is such a sharp look I can't even imagine him with long curly hair.

Today she is wearing a jacket from Zara, t from Topshop, trousers from River Island (I dont normally like hareem pants but I am loving these. Her shoes are Keds and her bag is H&M. I did spot a pair of heels in there which I am sure she popped on for the casting.

From Fashionistable

Alex and Milo
From Fashionistable
From Fashionistable
Don't Riki, Jessy, Alex and Milo look great. They were very cool too. They all go to different schools but met each other through friends. Mostly their style is inspired by music. For Riki it is Yannis Philippakis from Foals. Oh and the Bombay Bicycle Club. Milo likes old Brit pop and especially the The Libertines for Alex it is Florence and the machine or Bloc Party. For Jessy though it was her mum who was a fashion designer before she came along.
Riki is wearing a T from Uniqlo, jeans from Red Herring and Nike shoes. Jessy has on short dungarees from River Island, top from Adidas, amazing tights from a trip to France. Her boots are Urban Outfitters and her bag is Paul Smith. Alex wears 2 jackets - the outer one is from Rokit, the inner hoodie is from American Apparel. Her stripy T and leggings are from H&M and her boots like Jessy are also Urban Outfitters. Milo has on a hoodie also from American Apparel, the all important black and gold Fred Perry polo, jeans from H&M and shoes from Vans. He then went on to tell me that his boxers were Calvin Klein which made everyone smile.
