Out and about....colourful vintage

From Fashionistable
Tom and Teri-Jayne met at Bestival at the end of last summer. Tom is at Uni in Sheffield and Teri-Jayne is about to move up there to be near him. She finished her degree in fashion in the summer. Tom is studying English and film studies. Teri-Jayne has been working for Vivienne Westwood. All the girls I have photographed who work for her are very colourful see here and here (look for Lisa Reynolds). I asked them where their favourite place in London was. Tom said Mile End which is were Teri-Jayne lives (for now) and Teri-Jayne said Sketch which is were she went for her birthday recently. When I met them they had just been buying some lomography film and were going off to visit the Museum of Everything in Primrose Hill. Their surprises were that Tom has a grade A in drumming and Teri-Jayne is really into dinosaurs. Tom's coat is from Beyond Retro, his shirt is from a charity shop, tie is made from some ribbon from a haberdashery dept. His jeans are from Gap, shoes are his dad's and the socks are from M&S. The bag is actually Teri-Jayne's and is from Spain. Teri-Jayne is wearing a coat from a charity shop, collar, scarf, cardy and playsuit from Beyond Retro and her shoes are from Underground.

Out and about....blonde quiff

Well, well, well, I have meeting a lot of models recently on their way to castings. Arlinda from M&P
was in great form. She had just arrived back from Paris and was in a very good mood. The casting was close by so we walked there together and chatted as we went. I shot these just outside. I noticed while we were walking that she had a black cross on the back of her jacket, which looked quite cool, even though it was only done with duck tape. She said she had been bored one day and had started to do it on the back of the other models jackets too. She then said she met Giles Deacon who like them as well. Wonder if he will use the inspiration? Arlinda is not just a pretty face though, she told me she has just graduated from doing an interior architecture course. Her scarf is from Gap. The shirt is from a charity shop. Jacket vintage and her boots are from Urban Outfitters. Finally she picked up her bag at Vogue's fashion night out. Oh and as I was rewriting my notes she came back out of the casting and told me she had got the job.

Her dress is from Topshop, the cute hat is from a market in Ibiza. She bought her bag in Egypt, her shoes are from H&M and the socks are Gap.

Out and about....take a seat

From Fashionistable
Victoria is from Chelsea, she has just come back to the UK after a year abroad spent in Paris and Spain as part of her Uni course. She studies French, Spanish and History of Art at Durham. Paris had a great effect on Victoria. She says she blossomed creatively there. Describing herself as a budding photographer she told me she took lots of pictures during her time in Paris. At the moment she is having fun playing with composition, she also loves the effects she gets from different camera phones and experimenting. Generally she loves fashion photography and styling. I asked her if she is going anywhere during the summer. She said a week in the South of France however she is really enjoying being back in London for now. Her jacket is Earl Jean vintage, the shirt is Ralph Lauren and the additional gingham collar (which is red and white on the other side) is from Spain. Victoria's trousers are from French Connection, shoes Office, socks Gap and bag Marc Jacobs.

Out and about....summer dressing

From Fashionistable
I love the summer I really do. The wonderful light and the sunshine just lift the spirits. Dressing for the sunshine however I find challenging. Paula on the other hand has it sussed. I love this cool sharp look. And those shoes and her right on trend bag - perfect. So, the look is comprised of shorts from Zara (which is were I spotted her, I was buying those blue trousers I was talking about last week). Her top is from Gap. All teamed up with a Mulberry bag and Fly shoes. Paula's hair is her natural colour. She said she decided to give in to the gray. Great decision I say it is an amazing colour. She likes to keep her style classic and simple, not fussy or patterned.
When I asked Paula if she worked she said no then proceeded to tell me she had 3 children, so I beg to differ there. I would say they keep her pretty busy (I interviewed her as we walked down the street as she had to head home to do the school run). Although originally from London, Paula and her family have lived all over the place, France, Kuwait and Beirut, but have been back in London for the past 2 years. When I met her she was with her Mum who I am sure is happy to have them all back in the UK.
What was amazing was although I had never met Paula before we both thought we knew each other from somewhere. Still wondering.

Out and about....quiet man

From Fashionistable
Well I can only tell you the names of the quiet man's dogs. He was happy to have his photo taken but didnt want to give me his name. When I look at him now I think he looks familiar. Do any of you recognise him? The dogs from front to back are Daisy, Sligo (who's birthday it was) and Marley. He was happy to tell me what he was wearing which was cool. His coat is Paul Smith which he said he has had for a while. Shirt and trousers were Gap and his boots which you can just about see are by RM Williams.
