I had noticed Alex's 2 looks before I had the chance to ask her if I could take her picture. So it was great that she was up for letting me photograph both. Alex works in PR for a company called Kaper. She is a Londoner and lives in Dalston. Her favourite place in the capital is the Welcome Collection in Euston. Her style influences are music and especially Yolandi Visser from Die Antwood and her best friend who she says "is always beautifully turned out". She also describes herself as a magpie "when I see gold things I just want them". Her first surprise is that she used to own a hedgehog. Her second is her love of horses. She used to go to Pony club and still judges competitions. Alex has also ridden professionally, mainly dressage. She keeps her horse at her Mum and Dads and goes home every couple of weeks to ride it. Outfit 1. Alex is wearing a top from Dorothy Perkins, jeans are Criminal Damage and shoes are her nans. The scarf around her bun was a present from her best friend. In outfit 2. Alex is wearing a shirt from Topshop, Lee jeans, Converse and is carrying a vintage bag.

Out and about....aye, aye sir

From Fashionistable
I was on my way home on the train when I met Alice and Tom. They are both musicians. Alice is a singer and Tom plays base. They have been a couple for 5 years and are married 4. They both belong to a band called Moats and Thrones and Tom also plays with The Hursable. Alice's surprise for us is that she has bad dreams almost every night. To told me he almost ate the dust from the hoover earlier in the day, showing off. London is their favourite place. Alice is wearing a charity shop shirt, trousers from Deptford high st, belt from Beyond Retro, shoes Folk and socks Topshop. Tom wears a T from Folk, Westwood trousers and Converse.  Alice is saluting some friends who were waiting patiently down the platform.

Out and about....the traveller

From Fashionistable
Jiao works as cabin crew for an airline which operates out of Abu Dhabi. He has been doing it for 2 years now and really enjoys it. Before this he was working as an account handler in an advertising agency. A big change but one he is glad he made. He likes his style to be casual and comfortable. When I met him he had just arrived in the UK. He is from Beijing originally. Apart from the cabin crew work he loves to travel. Japan and London being his 2 favourite places. He told me he likes people watching, especially in London, for although it is a  European city it is different, surprising, edger. His glasses are Ray Ban, his pea coat is by Izzue. All the rest is Uniqlo. His Converse are a design collaboration with Commes Des Garcons. Finally his bag is vintage from his home town.

Out and about....top knot

From Fashionistable
Sophie is an assistant for a media company. She is a London lass and loves the city and her job. Saying that, she has been given the opportunity to go and live and work in NYC for 2 months from January. Lucky her is all I can say, another great city for her to go to and experience. Sophie loves film and told me that she will go to the cinema at least once a week. When she is putting her looks together she said she likes vintage clothes best, 'that way I don't look like everyone else'. She will mix her vintage finds with high street though and likes both Topshop and Zara. We talked about her hair up style and how current it is. She did realise but her main reason for doing it was to give her hair a rest from constant straightening. Her look today is mostly vintage as her bag, coat and jumper are all from vintage stores. Isn't her bag amazing. Her jeans are Topshop and her shoes are good old Converse.

Out and about....celtic connection

From Fashionistable
Sally is from Aberdeenshire and Simon is from Cork (and amazingly my second Simon Allen in a week - check out last Tuesday - Allen spelt ever so slightly differently). They have been friends for quite some time. Sally is a visual merchandising assistant for Pringle of Scotland. She mentioned the recent campaign they had done with Tilda Swinton (Tilda  let me photograph her once many moons ago - before my street style days). Sally gets her style inspiration from following daily Style by Kling and The Sartorialist. For this shot she is wearing a T and trousers by Zara. Her shoes are Kurt Geiger. Simon is a photographer, his photography influence is Steven Klein. He doesnt have a link for his work yet but told me he helps out at Stamp films. His style is influenced by Swedish street style. He is wearing a shirt from I think he said Indigo (cant read my own  writing again).  T by Concrete, jeans by Cheap Monday and high tops from Converse.
