Abigail, there is a lot to say about Abigail. Firstly her hair isn't it amazing. When we spoke about it she said 'it is my gift. I love it'. She is a character in so many ways. I met her when I went to have a haircut. She was working her inner Alice (in Wonderland) on the day. Amazingly I didn't have my camera with me at the time so I arranged to meet up with her again to shoot. Abigail is still at school and doing her GCSE's. Next stop performing arts college, she is going to be an actress. She certainly has the imagination and flair for it. Her favourite director is Tim Burton and her dream for now is to work with him. She would also love to do musicals as she sings as well. Judy Garland being another hero. Her style for each day varies on how she feels when she wakes up. Today we have 50's glam as she woke feeling classic and elegant. Her look is made up of vintage hat, gloves and bag. The dress is from a charity shop. Shoes are Primark and socks Topshop. As I said earlier when I met her she was Alice but she also likes to be the Mad Hatter too. She says it is all just a different part of her and that 'I have multiple personality disorder in my wardrobe.' For Halloween she went to a party with her boyfriend as Sweeny Todd and Mrs Lovitt. For her work experience she worked for the Kings Head theater in Islington and they gave her the costume as a present. She told me it was really heavy and had a tight corset but hey in the name of fashion she love's to wear it. In June/July time she went with her Mum and a friend to see the musical Hair. She said it changed her life and really hope's one day to help with the movement for peace, 'I really, really believe in peace'.
I literally GASPED when I saw this post! She is striking!!
I also love the way that she LOOKS like she has a story to tell and from what you say here...she wouldn't let you down!
Abigail is brilliant!
I love her hair, it's the kind of hair I wish I had (I get a frizz bomb) but can seldom carry off.
What a mane, that hair is so beautiful. And how fabulous that she has really gone for it with the veiled satin pillbox hat.
Dear Dvora, what an absolutely stunning picture! Abigail is gorgeous and I love her individual style.
Thank you so much for your comments. I love your pictures and your blog. Have a fabulous weekend xx
What a great shot!
What a girl! She has so much going for her, and as she says herself: This hair is her gift! (I'm a teenie weenie bit envious) And what beautiful pictures you took of her, Dvora! xxx
Some one call an ambulnmace! And can I get some water here? Please! I can't breath!
Stunning stunning stunning!
D, look what have you've done now. I'm disoriented.
Dvora, I think is my favourite post of yours so far - she looks incredible! I love seeing people who are around my age and also dress very creatively. Her hair is just amazing, I can see why she calls it her gift - and she's a great photographic subject.
I liked reading about her aspirations and wardrobe choices - it's always nice with blogs like yours to have some background info to go with the picture.
Thank you for your sweet and supportive comments.
She has great style. Love how the hat matches the colour of her hair.
