Here is the first of my weekly winter installments for Street Chic. To see the rest of the images click
here. Two of the images here were shot in Somerset House. I had gone there to see the
Tim Walker exhibition, which was amazing.
Story Teller is the perfect name for his new book. He certainly is a master story teller. I cannot tell you how much I love his work. He is by far my favourite living photographer. If you are in London you should pop along.
The exhibition also incorporates props from his shoots and the images are not only on the walls but also displayed in packing crates amongst the props - see below and on Instagram @Fashionistable for a taste of what to expect. I am going back. It was also lovely to see the beautiful majestic expanse of
Somerset House without an event going on in the courtyard. I was able to use the space in a way I have never been able to before.

How wonderful to see the Tim Walker exhibition! He's certainly an amazing photographer with a brilliant and creative use of props. He'd have to be my favourite photographer, too.
image number two clockwise is superb.
I agree with David - love the beetle on the sheet music.
I hope I'll get a chance to see it, too. Love the photos, as always, and absolutely adore the girl in a green dress! x
great post,great pics!
I want to be a chic insect when I grow up;)
I know what you mean about the courtyard space. It's weirdly vast, but I like it. I saw the exhibition too, although I had never actually heard of Tim Walker before (shame on me). He is brilliant.
London is so full of chic young things. I just love the lady with the "ears" and striped jacket. And I wish I could just pop over to the Tim Walker exhibition. I absolutely admire his visual storytelling. Thanks for sharing some of it with us! - J xxx
Such chic ladies! I love sitting in the Somerset House courtyard with a cup of coffee - It's incredible tranquil in the midst of London. Tim Walker is such an outstanding photographer... His attention to detail and use of props - will definitely try to catch the exhibition. xxx
i bet they were great to see in real life, quite imposing i imagine too.
oh yeah i guess the side flats don't but if you get a balcony then you're all set for a sea-ish view
The 4 juxtapose really well together

Happens to be one of my favourite ones as well!
I would love to see the Tim Walker exhibition and bump into you in London...that you be my perfect (fashion) day! I've always admired Tim Walker for his unique vision and imagination: his photos looks like if they were from a fairytale book.
