Out and about....Franca Sozzani

From Fashionistable
Of the 4 big western centers NYC, London, Milan and Paris 3 of the editors of Vogue have held their posts for more than 20 years. Ah, I adore her and I love Italian Vogue. First Vogue to have a section on Ethnic culture, fashion, models and so forth.

If you grew up in a small town and loved to play dress up, you most likely ended up trying on dresses in your bedroom and promptly hanging them back in your closet.

Their longevity, especially in an industry which values youth, certainly speaks of the importance of quality and original ideas (not just looks). Lovely composition in your photo! And you've been picking the most amazing, tailored leathers!

On the ballerina Louboutins, I think I would keel over after a few moments! I imagine the presence of the heel would throw the balance off unlike when we pull up to pointe in toe shoes (and we do eventually come down), because your mind mistakenly tells your body it can rest :) Great in concept, not so sure in practice! -- J xxxx

Wonderfully captured! I admire her very much - for her work and that she's not afraid to say controversial things. xxx

It's true that the editors of the key 4 Vogues are all interesting characters, but I'm a fan of Franca Sozzani not only for her impeccable style, but because of her creative approach to the magazine, her interesting blog and her support for young designers. Beautiful photo Dvora.
