Here come the girls

From Fashionistable
London Fashion Weekend - Pure shopping heaven. My parents were in town. We sent the boys off clay-pigeon shooting so mum and I could shop til we dropped. (Of course I couldnt resist doing a little shooting of my own kind.) It looked like 95% of the girls had, had the same idea as us. There were very few guys around at all. It was a very different vibe than LFW.
Kirsty is an online marketeer who also has her own great fashion blog Jewellery Gossip Kirsty looked amazing in her mix of designer and high street. And that wonderful Balmain jacket is just jawdroppingly brilliant. Her look gives Sienna a good run for her money.

Harumi Kurihara - The Empress of Domesticity - Japans most Famous housewife at Borough Market 12th September 2009

From Fashionistable
Borough Market a paradise for food lovers everywhere. The colours and smells are amazing. Little did I know when I set out in the morning I was to meet and photograph one of Japans most famous chefs, described in the New York Times as Japans Empress Of Domesticity - saying "Ms. Kurihara's television cooking shows, housewares stores, cookbooks and food magazines have propelled her to rock-star status in Japan." Earlier in the day Alyson and I had asked Tatsuya Sasahara if we could photograph him not knowing at the time he was with a film crew we had seen earlier (see his story below). Later when we asked him again he turned and said you should photograph Harumi she is a famous chef in Japan. Well when the sea of people parted there was this beautiful, gentle, smiling and fashionable lady who had just finished filming saying yes to letting us photograph her. It was great fun. Everyone was happy and relaxed, wonderfully friendly and chatty. What an honour. I feel truly blessed. Thank you to Harumi and all the crew.

I had just popped into a shop to buy some water and Kat passed me in the shop. I was immediatley struck by her lovely red hair and pin curls.
The shop was small so I waited outside to ask her if she was ok to have her picture taken. When we were shooting she said she normally wore her own creations but not today and how she wished she was wearing one now and that there was a lovely new piece of velvet waiting for her back home.

When Alyson and I first asked Tatsuya if we could photograph him he said no as he was working. We had seen a film crew earlier and it turned out he was working with them.
Later we passed him again and jokingly said we were coming back to get him later when he pointed to Harumi and said you should photograph her which we were very happy to do. Still we loved Tatsuya's use of colour and stripes and managed to get him overcome his shyness after shooting Harumi. Thank you.

The lovely Bonnie was waiting for her friends when we saw her. I really liked the way she had platted her hair into her fringe.
