Out and about....a bit of fun

From Fashionistable

As some of you will know I am friends with David from The Nyanzi Report. We have a running joke going about the different ways we shoot. So during the recent London Collections: Men we let everyone else in on the joke/discussion. David shoots jpeg and I shoot raw at all times. Above you can see how we let everyone know. From the discussions that ensued it seems that most people shoot jpeg. I however still love the richness that shooting raw allows me. If you take pictures how do you prefer to shoot?

  2. Ha! David had posted a shot of your "I Shoot Raw" t-shirt a while back. Now we have the story behind it.

I shoot jpeg (because I don't yet have the software to process RAW) but I'm about to take a Photoshop class and try shooting RAW, so we'll see where that goes...

Love your work and David's, and your t-shirts are pretty cool.

  5. I remember discussing the differences between RAW and jpeg with you when I stayed over at LFW. A very funny way to express the joke! Did you have any questions or comments on the statements?
Fantastic photos from Ascot. I always love seeing the fantastical lengths that the women go to, particularly with the hats.
Thank you for the lovely comments both on my blog & on the oxfam one. To have praise from one of my favourite and most admired street style photographers was wonderful! xx

  7. I see the benefits of shooting RAW, but I don't have the space or proper software to accommodate it. JPEG for me.

  9. I like shooting raw, but then when I want to go all out, and forget that I have the setting on RAW, I don't realize why my memory card is filling up so much!
Cute pictures, and great joke :P

  11. Ha ha, LOVE these t-shirt announcements on you both!

You know, I have been meaning to test out RAW but actually keep forgetting to change my camera settings! That said, I do shoot everything manually exactly for the degree of control one has in the shot, and hope that will lessen any necessary post processing edits. I guess I end up re-shooting poor images immediately, rather than spend more time on the back end. -- J xxx
