So fashion week comes to London today. Let the show begin. I spotted Isabella from quite a distance. I am loving the knee socks over tights thing that is going on at the moment and it was what which I spotted first and had me dodging traffic to get to her. Isabella is a model and was on her way to a casting, we may well see her on the catwalk at some of the shows. Originally from Germany she was born in Bonn and grew up in was formally East Germany now all Berlin. Isabella is also a student at Kings College studying Geography. Her style influence comes from the diversity of London. Favourite places in London are Nottinghill and the East. Isabella's surprise was that she is also a singer/songwriter and is in a 10 piece band called Miss Terry Blue. She is amazing, clever, talented and beautiful.

I have a very busy few weeks now with London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks. Please be patient with me, I will comment back when I can. Wish me luck, lots of energy and most of all good weather. Xxxx

Only after I stopped Emily did I realise that her coat is a combination of a mac and and the beautiful overcoat. Emily's mum made her this piece. I love the shape it makes and the fact it is blue and grey. I would really love one of these. Both Emily and her mum are designers. Emily is a lingerie designer for Ace Style - they supply a lot of the high st stores. So you could have on some of her designs now ladies. Her mum is a knitwear designer and you can see her work here. It was a love of what her mum did that took Emily on the path she is on and at one point her mum was her teacher. She then went on to study contour fashion at De Montfort Uni. Emily has been at Ace Style for a year and a half now. It is her 1st job out of Uni. Her style influences are 2nd hand shops, 1930's vintage, just looking around and she loves silk and lace and is always drawn to it. Which I guess is a good thing for a lingerie designer. Her surprise was that she preformed ballet for Prince Charles at the Royal Albert Hall as part of one of the Royal Variety Performances. Emily's favourite place in London is Gordon's wine bar near Embankment. Overcoat Joan Murray Knitware, mack Zara, bag from a Hong Kong market, shoes Office.

Out and about....Britain's Best young Tailor 2012

Emma is the 1st ever British Best Young Tailor and how wonderful that our best young tailor is a woman. Emma is an apprentice at Dege and Skinner on Savile Row and has been working with them for a year and a half now. She started her training at the London College of Fashion were she did a foundation year in art and design but decided that she wanted to make really amazing clothes and didn't feel LCF was the right place for her. She felt the best place for her to learn her trade was on Savile Row. So after googling courses she found a pre-apprenticeship scheme that Newham College were offering. It was a year and a half basic tailoring skills course, where you had to make your own coat at the end of it. The course also sent them on work placement in Savile Row. Where she got to spend time at 3 tailoring houses. After which Peter Ward who is the head cutter at Dege and Skinner offered her a job.

After working in different areas Emma now specialises in coat making. She told me "it is very intense every single day. You have to be very alert as one slip and the coat is not as beautiful as it should be and these guys spend £3 to 5K on a coat so you want it to to be perfect for them". Emma also said that her tutor was very harsh but very fair saying "after all he didn't need me but I needed him". When we were shooting everyone who knew her who walked past congratulated her which was really lovely. She said it was so nice to be recognised for what she does, that both men and women have been working in this industry for years and can all do the job equally well. Having said that it was only a few years ago that after 200 years the 1st woman pattern cutter was appointed. "We're getting there" she said.

Her own personal style is influenced by vintage clothing, partly because as an apprentice she can't afford anything else.
Emma found it difficult to pinpoint a favourite place in London as she said the beauty of London is that it is so varied. She likes Hampstead Heath for its great pubs and nice walks, Camden for partying and Stokie (Stoke Newington) for its food. Her boyfriend is a chief and they both love food. Also she loves her own home which is a warehouse and great for parties. When I asked her for her surprise she said she loves to host massive fancy dress parties in her home. Emma believes the mark of a good costume is when people don't recognise you. Her own 2 favourite costumes were when she dressed up as Mystique from the X-Men and Old Greg from the Mighty Boosh. Her favourite costume from one of her parties is when one of her guests came as Zebedee from the Magic Roundabout. It was so good she couldn't figure out how she had done it. "The girl had a spring around her legs and the head was done perfectly".
Emma's hat is from a charity shop in Hackney and only cost her £4.00. Her coat is from Hobbs but was also bought in a charity shop in her home town - Harlow in Essex. Her shirt is from the same shop. Dress is Public Beware, belt on dress, charity shop, belt on coat Christmas present from her mum and shoes are Russell and Bromley.

Chloe had been in London for the weekend seeing friends. She is from Kent near Canterbury but since going to Uni has been living in Norwich, where she is now job hunting. Her favourite place in London is Brick Lane, in Norwich it is Tombland, near the cathedral. Her surprise was that she plays the piano. Also that she writes for the music site The Four oh Five. Chloe's style influences are vintage, layering and texture. Her coat and scarf are from a charity shop, shorts and blouse eBay, shoes River Island, bag free from a vintage shop and suitcase from a charity shop.

Nadia Etienne - is a fittings model working at getting back into mainstream modelling. Style wise she likes to put pieces together that you wouldn't quite expect to look a bit different than everyone else. Her surprises is that she is a quizz buff and appeared on a game show in Argentina called 101 ways to leave. Nadia's hat is from Camden, scarf Faith, coat Next, boots River Island, gloves Primark, skirt Republic.

Amber owns the online jewelery store My Flash Trash. She looks to Hanneli for style influence. Her favourite place in London is Lambs Conduit Street. Amber's surprise is that she was in an Australian film when she was 11 called The Weapon where she and the other children in the movie played child assassins. She spent 6 months in the Philippines while filming took place. Amber is wearing a Korean coat she bought in Hong Kong, Ralph Lauren - Rugby, jumper and shorts, Ray Bans, Dune boots and is carrying a Chanel bag.

I have an extra surprise for you today I just found out from Little Rus that Amber is also part of the cast of Channel 4s Made in Chelsea.

Marion is living in England to improve her English so that when she moves back to Paris she can fulfill her wish to work in fashion management. Her style influence's change depending on the day. Today it is old school, it is sometimes rock, sometimes French classic and sometimes glamour. Her favourite place's in London are Oxford Street and Westfields and in Paris it is the Champs Elysees and Saint Michel. Marion's surprise is that she likes to dance with her earphones on, "I dance and dream". There are many times I am walking along thinking 'wow that is a great location I wish there was someone here now to photograph in it.' I have thought it about this wall many times. And at last it all came together. I was right beside the wall when I looked up and saw Hope in the distance coming towards me so just waited for her to reach me. And, oh the joys of being a street style photographer my battery let me have 3 shots and stopped. Not because there was no battery power but because it was soooo cold and I had been out for 2 hours in it by this time it just went brrrr and stopped. Luckily Hope wasnt in a rush and understood my predicament so I had time to warm the battery up and shoot some more. Hope is a stylist and accessories designer. She has also shot street style in the past, hence her understanding. You can see her work on her blog - here and her website - here. Hope's own style influence is everything and anything. Her favourite place in London is her studio in Stretham. Although she is totally English her family name is Dutch she says from a very long way back. Her surprise for you all is that she is 6'3" and said about her height "I am a giant" - is that her Dutch ancestry I wonder? When we were out there my husband kept calling it the land of the giants. She also said that she loves strawberry milkshake. Hope is wearing a hat she made herself out an old scarf that belonged to her grandma. Her other actual scarfs are from Morocco, coat is from a charity shop and is aged for a 6 year old she said that is why it has 3/4 length sleeves, sweater is also from a charity shop - she then said "I never buy anything new" the socks were bought in Milan and her shoes are from Beyond Retro.

When I asked Lauren what she did she said absolutely nothing. When I asked her if she was happy with things this way she said no she would like to be a jewelery designer. She says she has no style influences, Her favourite place in London is Zuma. Hard to believe from her lovely smile in the pic's but her surprise is that she says she inclined to be unpleasant. Lauren is wearing a hat and boots from Zadig and Voltaire, Ralph Lauren jacket, scarf from a shop in Italy, Cheap Monday leggings and is carrying a Hermes bag.

A little detour from my usual postings. I thought these looked amazing so wanted to share them with you. I took these around midnight when the snow was falling. The warm tones in the shots is the colour from the streetlights. Very strong proof of light pollution. But they look sepia toned and beautiful anyway. The images are shot from my bedroom window looking at neighbouring gardens, my front door onto the street and from the backdoor to the garden. Indoors the happiest place for me to enjoy the snow.

....her style was showgirl (Las Vegas style). It's true. Lola is a model with Nevs but she had the day off and was celebrating her birthday and was turning heads with this wonderful striking look. Her surprise was herself, she says she surprises herself most of the time. Her 2 favourite places in London are Shoreditch and Brixton. Her black and white coat is from River Island, the denim jacket is from Beyond Retro, shorts are Bitching and Junkfood, top is from an American charity shop, leggings H&M and stripper shoes.

Out and about....but baby it's cold outside

The weather was beautiful if somewhat cold, Flavia certainly knows how to look wonderful while keeping toasty. She was sitting having coffee with her friend and fellow blogger Anne Jonsson when I spotted her. They have just started a blog called mobileuploads.spotlife.se. ( I just popped over there and they have already posted about meeting me - its your turn next time Anne :-)) As it is so cold out right now when I asked Flavia what her style influence was not so surprisingly she told me keeping warm. But she also likes to be casual, smart and chic. She is in her 1st year of a 3 and a half course studying business. So far both Flavia and Anne say their favourite place in London is a nightclub called Cuckoo. Originally from Rome her favourite place there is the Trevi fountain. Her surprise was that she can speak 5 languages. That will come in very handy when she eventually goes into business. Flavia is wearing a hat from Christies, Ray Bans, coat from AC Bang, Zara boots and is carrying a Chanel bag.

Kiara was going between offices to meet friends for lunch when we met. Originally from Co. Wicklow
she has been product training Ralph Lauren staff for the past 2 years and loves her job. Her 2 style influences are Edie Sedgwick and Alabama from True Romance. However surprisingly she loves to watch Poirot and Miss Marple. She also has a stall in the Trueman Brewery where she sells vintage clothing on a Saturday and Sunday. Kiara's favourite place in London is the Albion Cafe. Her beret is vintage from her stall, coat is H&M, scarf and shoes Topshop and the purse is Chloe.

Megan is from Liverpool and is in her last year of studying fashion journalism. Her style influence is Vogue. Megan's surprise was fun, she was Minnie Mouse in Disneyland Florida for a summer. Her favourite places in London are Covent Garden and Kensington/Knightsbridge. In Liverpool it is the Albert Docks. She is wearing a hat from H&M, Zara shirt and skirt from Warehouse. When I asked where her belt was from she said "Topshop, bag Topshop shoes Topshop" she then laughed and said "I used to work there."

Karolina is originally from Poland and has been living in the UK for 5 years now and is a store manager for The Sequal. She says her style influence is the streets "What I see on the street reflects what I wear. Oxford and Regent Street are the biggest catwalks in the world. It is sometimes even better than looking at magazines." Her favourite places in London are Greenwich Park in the summer and the pubs in the winter (that last bit was said tounge in cheek). Jordan was running late for his next class but was great and gave me a few moment before he had to rush off. He is a 1st year womenswear designer at LCF. When I asked him about his own style he said he likes to wear anything dark, he doesn't like colour. He also likes his clothing to be comfy and relaxed.Originally from Newcastle his favourite place in London so far is Shoreditch and back home is South Shields. His surprise for us is that he likes Soul and Blues music. He is wearing a Topman scarf, a cardy from ASOS, his Aunty knit his sweater for him, trousers are from Camden Market and his boots are Vivienne Westwood.

I think Francesca was bemused to be photographed. Her pink hat and those great boots just caught me and pulled me in. Francesca is a fashion designer for Twenty8Twelve. Her design influences are people, art, everything really. The Tate Modern is her favourite place in London for chilly days. Where she doesn't have to think about anything else. It is inspirational. Her surprise was that she goes to footblaa with her Dad. Not that she follows football really "it is just nice to be with my Dad". Everything Francesca is wearing is Acne, except her shirt which is American Apparel and her bag which is vintage Prada.

Rachel is a student at the fashion institute in Amsterdam. She has just started her 6 month internship with SuperTrash. Her style influence is the 60's and 70's she likes to mix vintage with new. Rachel's favourite place in Amsterdam is the Vondel Park (in the summer). She likes to travel. Her favourite kind of travel is backpacking and is happy walking all day long. You can see it is raining in the shot. One of the amazing things about Amsterdam is the attitude to the weather. Although they have more or less the same weather as the UK when it starts raining they don't run for cover like us they just get on with it. Only if it is too windy will they leave their bikes behind and walk. Rachel is wearing an Acne jacket, SuperTrash jeans, Marc Jacobs shoes and is carrying a Stella McCartney bag.

Before I leave the Dam I would like to share some other sights from there and beyond with you.

Twe Kanefas Bale 1632 - This was the sign over the the door to our apartment. I don't think I have ever lived anywhere so old before. Twe Kanefas Bale means 2 canvas bales, this is about as much info as I have managed to find out about it.

Beyond the Dam -
On our way home we stopped at the fairytale Kasteel de Haar. There has been an a castle on this site since the 1300's however this is not the original as the castle has been destroyed and re-built several times. This is almost how it has looked since the 1600's however it fell into disrepair and refurbishment started again at the end of the 1800's. This newest magnificent refurb was completed in 1912.

Walking around the castle I noticed this not so graceful Swan. It checked out the water and then fell in head 1st. I couldn't stop laughing. It then redeemed itself with the beautiful display in the 3rd shot.

I am back in the UK. But before I show you what I have been up to since I have been back I have 2 posts from the Dam to share with you. Lucy became a treasured friend while I was in Amsterdam. Her enthusiasm is infectious. She is bubbly, creative and was so full of info about Amsterdam she made life so much easier for me. In fact just before I left I helped her set up her own blog called an extra pair of hands. She certainly was for me. Check her out and give her the extra encouragement we all need when we start out. Lucy loves vintage and does it very well she describes her style influence as mix and match but loves the ladies of the 1950's. Originally from Hextable in Kent, Lucy has lived in Amsterdam for the past 5 years. On her creative side she was a member of the Michael Clark Company with whom she toured Europe. She is also a qualified flower arranger. Show me a creative who doesn't have more than one string to their bow. At the moment she is working as a recruiter for an Ad agency. When I asked her, her favourite place in Amsterdam she said her new home with her boyfriend and their dog. Lucy's surprise was that she has had this hair colour for over 20 years. She was very young when she started colouring it.
In the 1st image she is wearing a scarf and top from Waterlooplein Market, American Vintage cardy, 1947 limited edition 501 Levis which were a present from her boyfriend. Her boots were a present from her Grandad "I have had them them for a while..."and her bag is from Zara. In the 2nd shot/s she is wearing a coat she bought while I was there it is a beautiful vintage swing coat. Everything else she is wearing in this shot is vintage too. In the 3rd shot her dress is from ASOS, and shoes and bag are Zara scarf is vintage.

Pelayo graduated from St Martins earlier this year after studying Fashion Design and Marketing. Whilst at Uni he interned for McQueen and Giles. He is now living back in Spain. Originally from Oviedo he is now in Madrid and working for Davidelfin (check out the link his work is amazing his new collection for Spring/Summer has me dreaming if warmer climes). Pelayo is also the author of the blog Kate Loves Me. He and Davidelfin were in London for a few days over the holidays. Pelayo's style influences are Art, the Movies and James Dean. When I asked what his surprise was he couldn't think of anything but his friends said he has amazing handwriting and is a good painter. His favourite place in London is Columbia Road and his favourite building is a yellow tower next to the Tate. He said he has always wanted to live there. Talking of yellow it was this amazing yellow sweater that caught my eye. The sweater, belt and trousers are all by Davidelfin. His wrist cuff is Hermes, boots are DM's and bag is Chanel.

Home for the holidays it was wonderful. We had a great time. Of course I couldn't miss the opportunity to take the camera out for a spin. Dasha is Russian and is studying fashion styling at an Italian college in the UK called Marangoni. She told me she bases her style on different characters everyday, that she likes to play different roles. Her favourite place, "Chelsea, East London, actually all of London, it is all different". Dasha's surprise is that she used to be a rock chick but is now girly feminine. She couldn't remember where her beret was from, she had the coat specially tailored for her, dress is Zara, boots Russell Bromley, Chanel bag and glasses where bought in Manhattan.

Wilhelmina is Australian and works in Amsterdam as an event organiser and DJ. She DJ's at a night called Yarr, I think I have the right link here. Kimberley is from the Netherlands and is a second year student at UVA. Wilhelmina describes her style as Rock chic, usually with colour. Kimberley's is a mix of comfy and smart casual. For her surprise she said she was spontaneously open and Wilhelmina's was that she was eccentrically adventurous. Wilhelmina's favourite place in Amsterdam is the streets, buildings (architecture) and being on her bike. Kimberley's is an underground bar called Trut where she says adventurous open minded people hang out. Her hat is Superdry, coat Sisley, jeans Cheap Monday, boots she couldn't remember the name of the shop. Emilie is originally from Switzerland and has been living in Amsterdam for 3 months. She is an Opera singer and sings soprano and told me that she has been traveling between Amsterdam and Paris where she works with a french group of musicians. She also said "I write my own shows...with French songs". You can read more about her work on her website here. She said her style influence is very mixed. "I like to improvise and go with my emotions. When I see something that that I like, I'll try it and buy it if it suits me. I like black very much, but more and more I wear colors. Gipsy-Hippie style was very much my style as I was teenager; now it is more flexible. Now I like to change and to follow my mood of the day." Her favourite place in Amsterdam to eat is Akitsu, a fantastic Japanese restaurant where she says her boyfriend takes her regularly. She also likes the Nordermarket on a Saturday morning... "looking at the mushrooms stand and have a coffee and applepie at the corner". Her surprise is that her tongue was bitten by a turtle when she was a child (her first kiss). Emilie bought her coat, scarf and shorts in Paris. Her bag is Longchamp, bike is Batavus and her gloves and shoes are vintage.

I met Bibi and Walter just as they were leaving a bakery/cafe. Bibi is from Amsterdam and works as a dental hygienist. Walter is originally from Surinam, South America and is a junior private banker. They both said one of their surprises was that their private persona is totally opposite to the straight work day lives they lead.Walter describes his influence as colourful urban hip-hop. Bibi said her her influence was classy with a twist. She likes faux fur and colourful vintage. Bibi says she likes to cook. She is veggie, always has been. Two of her favourite ingredients are sweet potatoes and pumpkin. Luckily Walter also has a passion for food. Bibi's 2 favourite places in Amsterdam are the Jordaan and Waterlooplein. The Waterlooplein holds a special place as her Dad has owned a stall there since she was a little girl. For Walter it is De Pijpe which is where we are for this picture. Anouk was full of surprise's both before I asked her for a surprise and after. When I first asked what she did she said she was a housewife, then further into the interview she told me she was actually on a 3 month sabbatical. Anouk owns an ad agency called Task Force with her husband and they do the advertising for C&A. Then when I asked for her surprise (as if going from housewife to ad agency owner wasn't surprising enough) she told me she is in a band and sings backing vocals with her sister. She has also started designing her own scarfs. I love multi-talented people. 3 amazing strings to her bow. Her style influence is urban, from the streets. Amazingly I met Kieu, Tony and Tomato (their dog) 2 minutes after I had left my apartment. This is the 1st time I have literally walked out of the door and found someone cool to photograph. In fact as I write this I have just noticed that the door to the apartment can be even seen in the shot. Kieu has lived in Amsterdam for 15 years now and Tony for 10 and they have had Tomato in their lives for 3 years now. Kieu is a fashion designer. Tony told me he is a product designer - what he didn't tell me was that he was Men’s Design Director at Nike for 9 years working on the White Label or that he had worked for Maharishi before that - what he did tell me was that his work could be seen at The Non. His site is amazing and his fashion collections are astonishing I am in awe as I write this. It was so unexpected. You must go see his work - here.
So back to my interview......Tony describes his style as a quirky, not of a particular time period, but a mish mash of time periods, a melting pot of quirkiness. Kieu told me she is normally more delicate than she is dressed today, her style is usually self made clothing combined with quirky new brands and high street. Her surprise for us was that she knits a lot. Tony's was that he collects taxidermy animals.
Kieu's favourite place i Amsterdam is Jordaan and Tony's is Spui for sitting and observing.

Marieke was shopping with her boyfriend when we met. She was very shy about having her picture taken and only said yes if she didn't have to look straight at camera. I think her shyness has given us quite a strong pose. Marieke is from Amsterdam and is a student of Psychology. Her style influence comes from the fact she likes vintage shopping which she mixes with a little modern. Our surprise is that she likes cats and at the moment owns 3. From what I hear about the mice in Amsterdam (not that I have seen any myself thank goodness) it is probably not a big surprise she likes cats. I am in Amsterdam until the end of the year. So will be interspersing my posts with shots from here too. I met Jennifer on a group of streets called 9 Straatjes (Streets), which is one of her favourite areas in the city. She is a Drama Therapist and works with kids and families. Jennifer came to Amsterdam to study from her home island of Curacao, (which was a Dutch colony) 5 years ago. Her style influence is vintage, she said she doesn't like to match things up so everyone can see where you buy your clothes. She told me that she is adventurous and likes to travel. Also that her family and friends are very important to her. Jennifer's surprise is that she can spend all day styling her hair. Here is proof, if we didn't know already that when you have it you have it. No matter how much time has passed. And these 3 ladies have it by the bucketful.

Linda is the Senior Vice President, Fashion Office and Store Presentation of Bergdorf Goodman. Prior to this she was Senior Director, Visual Merchandising for Gap, Vice President, Visual Merchandising at I. Magnin, and Visual Director for Macy's New York. She is also the author of 2 books Dreams through the glass and Windows at Bergdorf Goodman. She is wearing Celine trousers and carrying a Lanvin bag.

I dont know anything about Lee other than the fact that she is very elegant. She didnt stand long for this shot and she was off. I took after her to ask her name but I cant even be sure this is right, as she threw it over her shoulder and was off again. Anyone recognise her? (I know now. Thank You for telling me.) She is Lee Radziwill - Jackie O's sister.

I first met Toni when I photographed his friend Helen back at the start of September. When I got home and checked out his website I knew I wanted to photograph him too. He is a very interesting guy. He is very creative and a great photographer. Toni's site is called Fashitects and well worth a visit.
His style influence is the Victorian era mixed with a futuristic twist. Today's look is exquisite, eccentric. Toni designed and made his trousers and scarf and customised his boots too. Graduating from Wharton with a business degree, she was a management consultant for three years living around the world. She now also publishes O: Magazine by Tank, a luxury fashion supplement produced quarterly for The Observer newspaper in the United Kingdom and launched EO magazine for The Economic Observer financial newspaper in China in 2007. Out and about....3 days in Paris with Imogen Roy

I have photographed the lovely Imogen from Eight London a few times now in both London and Paris. As you can see Imogen is friends with Peony. When we met this time she said that she had liked the series I had done with Peony at London Fashion Week so I asked if she would like to do the same in Paris and this is our story together. It was only when I sat down to process all the images that I realised that she had carried a reddy/orange theme through all of her outfits. I like her thinking. Imogen moved to Paris in the summer and is very happy with her move. You can check out her blog here.
In the 1st shot she is wearing an H&M dress, Kimono from Topshop and her hat and bag are vintage. For the second image her scarf is from Zara, top is vintage, skirt Topshop, bag Chanel and shoes Tori Birch. Let me describe the scene. This was a blisteringly hot day. It was 1.30 in the afternoon in the Tuileries (in Paris) and even though everyone was turning up for the Viktor and Rolf show I had to leave as I thought I was dying. It was about 30 degrees and the sun was beating down. Now I love the sun and the heat BUT the surface on the ground of the Tuileries is white so what was coming down was also bouncing back up. I just couldn't function. I believe, if something doesn't feel right and you move something special will come your way and that day was no exception. As I made my out of the park and down one of the shaded side avenues I came across this scene. I took quite a few shots before I caught Akari attention. I had seen her walking Theo and he just stopped and sat down and quite simply refused to move. So she started to text while he had a rest. The whole time however he sat and looked straight at me while I took pictures. I wanted her to look too which is why eventually I shouted hello. She was surprised but let me take a few frames. Akari is a stylist. Her dress and shoes are Balenciaga, her glasses are Immanuel Khan and her bag is Aha.

Lucie is part of the Vagabond Van initiative which - in their own words - are

"Eclectic, ethical and one-of-a-kind! Vagabond Van offers eco-chic fashion made by hand with love from Africa. We work with craftspeople all over Africa, recycling (or 'upcycling' as we like to say!) everything from vintage silks from the 60's to detergent bottles, adding to the unique story which each piece has to tell and minimising its effect on the environment."

The van is a 1952 Flying Cloud Airstream caravan. And is now parked in Camden near Proud Galleries. This month they are launching their Band 4 Hope (follow this link to join in) where you buy a copper and zinc band, ethically hand crafted again in Africa. A 1/4 of the sale price goes to a charity of your choice. The idea is that you buy the band. Wear it for 4 weeks then pass it on and watch its journey online at the band4hope blog. Interesting concept have a look.

Here is the wonderful vivacious Natalie Joos. She always dresses very colourfully and as a result is another favourite with the photographers. She is very gracious when the pack gets going and will stand and smile until they have had their fill. So I would wait too and eventually we always managed to get some time away from the throng to shoot properly. Natalie is a Fashion Consultant and Casting Agent but also has her own blog Tales of Enderment where she talks about her life and her love of vintage. It is a great read go check it out.

I met Linda and Niels on my 1st and second days in Paris. They are from Holland and the people behind Lifestyle Hunters. Obviously they are starting from a very stylish personal base. From mono to a vivid pop of colour. They certainly stand out in the crowd.

I first photographed Peony back LFW in February and was lucky enough to get to know her a lot more this time round. She has beautiful personal style and carries herself perfectly. So not surprisingly she is another favourite of the photographers. And even though she was jet lagged from her return from NYFC she was in great form. Hot on the heels of her talent competition win in Vogue, Rosalind was in town for London Fashion Week. I was privilaged to spend more time with this wonderful young woman this year and we managed a couple of shots away from Somerset House. The 1st 2 shots were taken on Waterloo Bridge (which is my favourite in London because of the views in both directions of the city). The next 3 were taken after the Masha Ma show in Covent Garden. The 1st of these 3 was the one we had set up. The 2nd 2 were a gift as by pure chance we stumbled across this wonderful leafy location in the middle of the city. You can take the girl out of the country.... Our final shot was in Somerset House on Rosalind's last day in town. She had just had lunch with her Dad and honorary Uncle and popped by to say hello before heading home. Thank You Rosalind it was a pleasure.

Guys I have so much to share with you. I look at my images and don't know where to start. I feel my head is in a spin. Until I head off to Paris I will show you some of the people I have photographed more than once. Today we have the beautiful Hedvig from Northern Light. She is an ex fashion editor (for now) concentrating on her blog which is a mix of outfit posts and fashion in general.

The girl was not for stopping so I can't tell you what she was wearing. As you can see from her ticket she was on her way to the Marni show which was held in a lovely sun trapped courtyard full of beautiful morning light.

I had never been to Milan before and was thrown in at the deep end. The 1st day there I spent mostly walking from show to show. Not easy I can tell you as they are not always close together. 2nd day I managed to get a couple of press buses. Not ideal either as at times they leave a bit to early to catch people as they leave the shows or not early enough to reach the next show in time....hey. Public transport or taxis I hear you cry, well the trams are lovely but not extensive and the Metro also has little coverage. Taxis, you cant flag down a taxi you have to call (language barrier) them or find a hotel to call one for you. And when you do get a taxi oh boy they are expensive, makes London cabs look positively cheap. It was a great experience all the same though. And to be shooting for Vogue was just so amazing.

Robert M Goodwin is a marketing ambassador for Bacardi. It was a role he had at Uni that has just developed further. His style influences are British heritage and Ralph Lauren. Favourite places in London are Chelsea for lunch and Embankment for dinner. There are 2 surprising things about Robert. Firstly his height, he is 6ft 6 and a half. I had been looking at some people across the road and turned and suddenly there he was. I was so amazed he at first thought I was going to ask for directions. Secondly, he is training to be an officer in the TA. Robert wears, glasses from the Tie Rack, jacket by Feraud, kerchief by TM Lewin, tie Smith and Rutherford, shirt M&S, trousers Topman, vintage shoes and is carrying an ASOS bag.

Nikoleta Petrof is job hunting and would like to do something creative. When she lived in Greece she worked in Marketing and has her own blog create in marteting. One of her surprises was that she was getting married in a few weeks, back home in Greece. Her fiancé also told me she likes to dance but only in the house with no-one watching. Louise Carmichael and Duncan McCormick told me the story of how they met. Louise was out for the night with her sister had just had a an argument with her. Louise decided to leave and literally on the way out the door of the Electric Ballroom in Camden she bumped into Duncan who spoke to her. Normally she said she would have just carried on but he convinced her to stay, they clicked straight away and the rest is history. So not so surprisingly their favourite place in London is Camden. Louise is a Brand Merchandiser for Topshop and Duncan is a musician. His grandfather was the 1st and he says maybe the only Opera singer to come from Trinidad, probably where Duncan gets his love of music. Louise is wearing a T, belt and shoes from Topshop, her skirt is American Apparel and bag is vintage. Duncan says Louise styles him and everything he is wearing is from Topshop, except his hat, which is H&M.

Helen Nakato is the manager of Jigsaw in Westbourne Grove and everything except her jeans is from there. Her head wrap is from Shepherds Bush market and her beautiful jewellery is from Made a fantastic fair-trade company. Originally from Uganda and after working in the fashion trade for 15 years Helen told me she would like to be Pharmacist. When I asked her if she had done anything about following her dream I was surprised by her answer that infact she is at the stage where she is applying for a post as a Pharmacist having completed all her qualifications.

Caron Kinnaird is in London for 6 weeks modelling for Oxygen. After a stint of testing she is now getting jobs which is making her feel good. Her style influences are Alexa Chung and model Karlie Kloss. Originally from Glasgow, Caron’s favourite places in London are Camden and a club called Maddox in Mayfair. Her surprise for us was that she used to be a cheerleader. Her glasses are from Chanel, 1st top and bag is H&M, 2nd is Topshop as is her skirt and her shoes are from Primark.

Oliver Pearch from Shepherds Bush is a Fashion photographer. His signature style was formed when he played the ghost Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol at school. It is where his passion for wearing white came from. His favourite place in London is Mayfair and says that surprisingly he is very normal. Joanna is the Senior Fashion Market Editor of Harpers Bazaar. At first glance I thought she was Gwen Stefani with her wonderful long blond hair and red lips. Originally from Toronto Joanna moved to NYC and worked as stylist assistant to Lori Goldstein. She then moved to Teen Vogue as Senior Fashion Market Editor covering the American and Italian markets then on to her global role at Bazaar today.

When I did the interview with Jasper s few weeks back and he gave me a sneak peak at the collection he said I would love the print he was creating and he was so right. The print and the fabric he has chosen for for his designs make for a perfect marriage. In his other dresses his use of sequins make the garments sing. When we meet he and his team were hand stitching these and the circle on the 1st image are folded sequins. It is was wonderful to see it all come to life.

Firstly sorry for not getting back to you all the past two days please forgive me. So, so busy it is near midnight again and i must sleep now so I am fresh(ish) for tomorrow. I got to see 1 show properly and glimpse of another. Masha Ma was the one I had a good view of. Henry Holland I was so far back even on tippy toes (and I am tall) I could only get you guys the one (slightly blurry) image.
Masha Ma was a mix of constructed and de-constructed lines.
Henry was full of colour and pattern and was a bit rock and roll as always.

Meet Old Cow (as she is affectionately known as) from over at the Worship at the House of Blues. I have been speaking to Yasumi for almost 2 years now. We met online after I photographed her sister, who introduced me to her. OC has a wonderful blog. It is a mix of outfit posts, beauty reviews and generally things that interest her. She has also recently stopped working full-time to spend more time working on her Emporium, which has a constantly changing stock of all things bright and shiny. A few weeks back I just missed out on a collection of sweetheart impressions she had made in black and red which I really liked so approached her with the idea for an extra impression. You can see the result above, beautiful isn't it. One of the meanings of Dvora is Bee so you can see why this had originally struck me (red and black had featured bee's too). The blue was to match the colour of a ring my husband had bought me. (Hopefully in the not to distant future there will be another whose meaning create my two 1st names together.) The creation of this sweetheart impression gave us the perfect opportunity to meet for the 1st time. We had a wonderful lunch together at the Nordic Cafe on Golden Sq, where time passed all to quickly. Of course as she looked so good I was not going to let the opportunity pass without photographing her and interviewing her too. So here is a quick Q&A.

F: What is your style influence?

OC: My style influence is a hodgepodge of confusion. I draw influence from Fairy Tale princes, suspicious Victorian gents, elegant safari going women, Hercule Poirot and Dot Cotton from Eastenders.

F: What is your favourite place in London?
OC: My favourite place in London is Hackney. I love the diversity, the stench, the creativity, the African mummas and their swinging hips, the decay, the buzz and the humbleness that it inspires within me.

F: Tell me something surprising about yourself.
OC: I laugh out loud in my sleep. Sometimes, I laugh out so loud and with such gusto that I wake myself and the husband up. The strange thing is that I never seem to remember what tickled me.

F: Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
OC: My jewellery designs are inspired by my daydreams, nightmares and imagination. I get my ideas from EVERYWHERE, dark tales, poems, moonlight, nature, adventure, food...you name it...I will find something inspiring in it.

Emma was sitting having coffee with friends when I asked if I could take her picture. I have been wanting to take a shot with our new transport system in London but have had to wait until now for the right opportunity. Emma works in Events Management, big party's with lots of champagne. Her favourite place in London is Brick Lane. She loves both Paris and London and is excited to be here. She bought her hat in Brighton, her dress belongs to her mum. Everything else, boots, bag and necklace are all Vivienne Westwood.
